Field Reimbursement position


Can someone tell me what exactly Field Reimbursement does on a daily basis? Serious responses only please.

odd. Just odd. This is what the bss's have doing all along. They carve it out, and give to surviving cmm's w/a 6 figure comp pkg. Just shows you how undercomp'd bss's have been. Can i get an allelujah?!
 
Yes it does make you wonder: why didn't they move the bss into the frm position and then underpay them there? The Bss have all the current knowledge for the frm position. Plus, I don't think those positions are as well paid as the sales people in other companies. It's like a step down, because you aren't being incentivized. You're really just a consultant of sorts. Those people are usually assistants to the sales people, because the sales people are driving the sales because they are incentivized BY sales! There is obviously a big master plan here, I'm not sure the bss are a part of the long term plan. Essentially, they took the cmm's out of the hospital and gave them the bss job, then gave the bss the cmm job. Ah Ha! They think they are getting a "better" rep with a cmm, but yet they were overpaid. We need fewer reps, so lets get rid of the cmms, then hire a third of them back for an overall cheaper price. Then they'll have the "best of the best" (exaggerated, but you get my point). In the meantime, lets use the bss's relationships, knowledge of logistics, etc until we have all that info, then we'll just phase 'em out, cause they really don't need them once they roll flumist into az. I don't know, just a thought.

hey knock it off. bss's have been dissed for ages while the company was taking care of the cmm's just based on the title. that's why many bss's are not allowed to post for the new frm jobs, as, wow, a bss might actually be better at the frm job than a former cmm. even the frm memo said so to take care of the cmm's. oh boo hoo. if your were a cmm, hey, i and many bss's wish you well, and many of us are still as stunned as you are by the turn of events. but you had a seriously nice payday for a long long time, and now the real competion (other bss's) are being locked out of a promotion opportunity. last week wasn't pretty. 1 out of 3 of you will end up okay. not looking to argue with you but good luck on the frm intvu's if you're in it.

So are bss's now going to be classified as managers the way the cmm job was called clin mrktng mgr ? we're going to be responsible for the Neo's, NICU's, Ped ID specialists, and they're calling it career development. the only peeps getting promoted are the surviving cmms in the new frm jobs. what a joke.
 
#4 & #8 poster are obviously one in the same. They are positng the same thing everywhere. It's just a way to get people to stop discussing what is going on by being a bully. No one has "whined" on this thread. Just because people are discussing what is going on and figuring out what the new roles are doesn't mean they are whining. It's called communication. Other posters don't let those comments deter you from letting everyone know what's on your mind.

Bullys are those calling "all"tenured folks overpaid and worthless without know what they have done in their ENTIRE career besides medi - nor having worked with anyone except their immediate partners. There's a flip side to that post: the cmm candidates for FRM role can't really use their sales rankings and sales results as evidence of great performance. the reason for the downsizing was becuase mgt was seeing that it was bss's doing most of that work anyway. cmm-frm candidate should say that these #'s reflect what all the bss's in the teritory did. for synagis anyway. did zero for FM for the most part. good luck everyone.
 
I feel sorry for the BSS's that interview. I bet the CMMs get all of the jobs with very few exceptions. What were the parameters around which BSS got to interview, while other BSSs didnt?

Why not? You will have maybe 8 BSS's all over your butt screaming to their ABM's that you are not doing your job. You will also have 2-3 maybe AMB's telling your Mgr that you are not doing your job. Finger pointing, whining, wa wa wa. For what? Less pay, more travel. no respect. Sounds like a good gig to me.

Not true: our CMM was an integral team member. Our success was tightly bound to their job performance. We all worked as a team and it showed year after year. I feel the loss of our CMM and don't begrudge their pay and grieve their loss. My hope is we retain them as FRM.

I have a question for you...now that you are doing their job, do you still feel your pay is fair?
 
Ditto: hospital responsibilities for a biotech product, with comp barely on par with a PCP pharma rep. It's s good way to motivate people to look elsewhere. Fine if that's the objective but I doubt it: these are high touch prodcuts - company still needs qualified people speaking with real customers. It's still a paycheck for now but commitment is a 2 way street. Good luck cmm's with whatever happens.
