I'm losing 6 Premier Ascend accounts and with have to write down a couple more. What a great company.
They're talking about Flexi-Seal. Word was that we were supposed to get a revised Q3, Q4 comp plan, but that is yet to materialize.
is ascend really that big of a deal?
No way HPG isn't sole.
Don't hold your breath for a revised comp plan.....they want to keep the numbers as unattainable as possible so there will be no payout....TM's have been eating write downs forever and those greedy shitheads never adjust...jackass morons at corporate couldn't create an equitable comp plan if their life depended on it....why do you think everybody is interviewing & leaving....this company's best days are long gone and far, far behind them!
Sorry ConvaTec TM's - this was inevitable as all you ever knew how to do was lower your price. You were always bailed out Skillman management for SFIC purposes and now you want to blame someone / anyone else (SV/BB, RM, KL, AVP's etc. etc.) but yourself for this latrest write down. You all helped to kill this business and IMO you dont need expensive reps to tell your customers "I'll beat whatever price you get". AND NOW YOU WANT TO BE BAILED OUT AGAIN!! Do me a favor - quit!! ConvaTec took a great product and allowed it to be sold as a commodity. Shame on you!! Great growth strategy!!
Are you high? Bard won the Ascend bid with the lowest price, and Medassets was literally auctioned off to the lowest bidder. I doubt that any TM's were involved in those deals. Instead they are just left to handle the fallout.
So if I follow your thinking I dont need reps and marketing investment to support a product that is sold on price alone. I can use the headcount savings to do some more write downs. ( I'm sure ConvaTec's evil Flexi Dwarf may be implementing that soon)
Even when product enhancements were introduced they were immediately used as a carrot maintain customers while continuing to write down price. The time to defend price on this product has long gone and the three competitors in this market are all idiots especially the market leader.

The geniuses in Skillman stupidly drove off our most tenured and successful TMs and our most gifted Staff personnel. We are now left with a hapless, scared, bewildered, demoralized, and comatose crew of drudges who loathe what they do and fervidly pray to find a better career soon--all under the inept rule of a chosen few misfits. How wonderful it is to contemplate our pre divestiture and post divestiture fortunes and how far we've fallen. We are managed by the worst elements in our industry-and it's getting worse.
Yet they are convinced that the newbies are their ticket to the promised land. They genuinely believe that experienced reps are the current demise of the organization. On day 1 of the sales meeting they had 2 groups stand up: those reps with 1 year or less and those with more than a year - aka with us or against us.
