For the new hires

OK..I must admit and confess. I made up all the responses about salary etc. I wanted to see how many people would just bitch and moan about everything! Obviously nobody cares. Nobody is on here bitching. NOT THAT THE COMPANY is problem free. Just a bunch of generallyy mature people! Way to go gang!

Both divisions are solid and market leaders. Airway management has some challenges with some competition trying to steal Share but KCis holding their own.

Digestive Health is a growing area and expanding as well. Corporate culture is GREAT! Management works with the sales people NOT against them.

If you are lucky enough to land a job here you will be very happy. Good luck with the interview process.

It sounds like the culture is outstanding and Management is on the same Team as its Reps.

Is it true that both the Digestive & Airway businesses are adding new products to the Bag this year?

I would assume Airway is always battling Teleflex and Covidien for business - what market share would you say you have in this segment? I'm assuming that the Sales Force split will mean new products to expand the bag sometime soon?

I had heard Digestive Health had new products coming this year and that was reason for splitting away from Airway Management. I cant tell you that Ive ever heard of a company giving the rep the option to decide which side of the business to be on--usually you get cast to one side and if that isnt where you wanted to land, that could present a problem.

Still in interview process and hoping I get position--fingers crossed. Also, who plays in market--just Bard with button and Ross for Enterals? Hearing KC is the market leader.

1 week home study, 1 week product training, 1 week orientation..and a ffew other scattered times. Additionally, you will have to do follow-up exams and training to stay current on product knowledge.

Has anyone else gotten an offer?

Seems like typical Device training. How is the week of Product Training - hard tests, extensive studying, etc.? No offer yet, but it seems like Reps tend to stay here a long time. Not sure if the earnings are the best within Device, but seems like good culture & quality of life.

The pay is not the best in the industry, however it is not terrible and no reason why you should not make at least six figures. Quality of life is GREAT, other than having to do some on-line tests from time to time.

Training was pretty intense but just stay the course and study after class and you should do fine.

A lot of tenured people in the organization which is a very good sign. It doesn't appear that people are jumping ship every six months or year.

IF you get an offer I think you will be VERY happy. Unfortunately you will never find an organization where everyone is happy. The KC board is pretty new on here so not a lot of nasty things have been written yet. Take what you read with a grain of salt. I'm just very curious what this board will look like over the next year with comments.

I think anyy device job beats pharma. I have friends in the pharma industry and EVERY one of them is looking to get out. Just keep in mind that this is not a 10-2 job. Work hard and you will do well.

Best of luck to you and hope that an offer gets extended.

Did they give you a salary range?
