Future of ATBMs????

soooo...Ok...If I heard correctly...My new role as an ATBM is that I will have assigned "accounts" and assigned "MDs". That sounds exactly like what my role was as a TBM. So you are going to pay me more to do what I used to do...Sounds ok I guess...but WTH is happening here?

Im sorry if reps have ATBMs they don't feel work, I've had teammates I felt the same about. However, the role of ATBM is so diverse; based on geography, business opportunities, IDN's, ACOs, LTC etc that it is not measured on calls. Based on the cc yesterday, this role will be revised yet again. All I know is, the pay is awful in comparison to TBMs bc they cannot figure out a way to accurately pay out based on CPPs etc. The ability to launch a new, me two product in this segment will be nearly impossible based on payers. So revise the role, make it clear, so that TBMs can stop complaining about a healthcare segment they know nothing about.

The last post is OBVIOUSLY an ATBM who is justifying making three calls a week. Who cares if it's another segment. Three interactions a week isn't accomplishing a thing! ATBMs were another one of LPs "great" ideas! Wonder what it feels like to watch every change you made get wiped one at a time

ATBM concept has been out there for years with all the big pharma companies. It's nothing new, and LP and all senior management just copy others and do what consultants recommend. Never an original thought. Let's look at Challenger Sale, Brennan, HEP kits, nothing new. We do need help at the organizational level. I would think DMs and RDs should pick this up instead of spending time micromanaging for number of scripts per plan or how many savings cards are given out, or is the Phoenix calendar up to date or what other ridiculous things they have us wasting our time on. The DM should lead the charge into organizations, reaching out to corporate groups who can help. MSL, Marketing, Medical Services.......but, DM has to micro manage, reps have to do BS work and we all move forward in a mediocre attempt to satisfy the newest passion. I used to think sales was the most important thing, but I don't even understand how we are measured anymore and I don't believe the numbers anyway.
