OK, How long does everyone @ GAC have until they let everyone go?
They just let over 100 people go last week and the remaining employees are left with nothing. If the employees that are left don't have their Resumes ready they are fools.

It literally takes a natural disaster to give the copy-cat made in china companies a chance to gain some market share, but we're not out, we're proud to work to for this company, proud of our products, and I'll be regaining my business back from you in no time. The sales force is and will continue to be strong, our products will still be higher quality than yours, and we are left with something, working for GAC

The sales force will be nothing in 2 months as the majority of them will leave. Your company is a DEAD MAN WALKING. I guarantee that it will never be the same and will never be over 100 million in sales again. Good luck selling other peoples products and whoever the Director of Sales is I heard he is a Douchebag.
 


Sad to hear what is going on at GAC. The company is strong and will recover. Have to agree with the previous comment about their director of sales. He is a real a$$!

Heard today that more of the outside reps were let go. No word on the others. Some saying that the reps are trying to get out of their non-compete clause. It's never good when a supplier like this goes down this way. It could happen to any company any time.
 






I hear that massive layoffs are coming soon.

It also appeared that GAC was sending doctors to Americans booth.

Yes this is true, the sooner the docs are exposed to how shitty the Empower is, the sooner they will wish Tomy products to come back to market. American reps will do well for the next year, I mean monkies can earn the business at this point. Once R is back and your quotas become high, you'll try and jump ship again.

I am not an employee of GAC or American. I work for another Otho company, I am just stating what I saw. There is no way in hell American will be able to provide product for all of the orders they wrote in Chicago. As you stated the Empower bracket will have quality issues, just like every other SL option they have introduced. They won't have succes for a complete year.

GAC was never the market leader. It's funny that they think once the bracket is available that all the business will come back. Doctors will use a bracket because they like the rep and are getting a good price. How many doctors will want to switch Bands and brackets again just because GAC has a self ligation bracket available. It won't happen. Docs won't use a crappy sl bracket only because of price and the rep. There has to be quality in the bracket, too. And your're correct, the doc still relying on bands might not switch back. But that's a small percentage. Most bond 7x7. Welcome to 2005, old man.

This thread is a complete embarrassment to reps everywhere. Everyone should grow up a little bit. GAC has issues and will lose business. Rubbing it in and grandstanding only makes you look dumb and illiterate. The balance sheets will tell the story at the end of the year. I would anticipate this being an awful year for GAC, and I would anticipate them letting a lot of employees go. I would also anticipate that they'll get back up and running, and launch a pretty solid attack once the supply issues are corrected. So what. I work for a competitive ortho company and am not particularly fond of a lot of the GAC or American rep practices, but that doesn't mean I'm going to act like a 3 year old and come in here to gloat. Grow up.

This could only have been written by the director of sales, who is useless. Nobody is proud to work for GAC any longer...
