So now we know that the car allowance will be $500 a month with a gas card, no mileage. After Federal, state and local taxes, that leaves about $300 to work with for payments, maintenance and insurance. On the plus side, they won't be taking $100 per month for personal use of the company car.
This isn't competitive with what other companies our size are paying their team. You are motivating me to fly to any accounts more than two hours away where I would have driven before. This isn't the straw that broke the camel's back (there have already been bales and the camel is long dead) but you certainly are accelerating the recruiter activity with the team. The future is not bright here. I'm in a real tough spot since I don't plan on being here for more than a month or two and I don't want to get stuck with a car I no longer need.
