Generic Restasis?

Xiidra will lose all of its first line coverage in Commercial

We will see how the plans value Cequa, Will they feel a need to have a generic cyclo then step to a brand cyclo ? Does that give ECPs and patients a variety of options for treatment, one molecule.

If it comes down to money for Medicare and rebates. Sun will get out bid by Novartis for sure so my guess is it will stay the same. First Generic step or PA through Xiidra. Cequa after the other two.

Sun will make a generic cyclosporine and cut the Opthalmics BU

Cequa Is generic cyclosporin. You can try to call it an innovation and further call it a "brand". But payors will niche Cequa appropriately as a high priced generic. Maybe SUN will step up and bid/price right to the true market. More likely, we will be seeking bottom feeding status and a tough road ahead.

It’s the beginning of the end of the OPH BU. It a measly less than 4% market share at close to 3 year post launch. The lack of Market Access Coverage and the failed RXC Specialty Pharmacy will now make it harder for HCPs to write Cequa. As one of my top prescribers said, it may be a superior product, I’ve seen it work clinically so there’s no need for you to keep pushing the clinical benefits. If I can’t get my patient the product what good will it do. Tell me would you pay $500/ month for a prescription medication that is not life saving. Yes it addresses a chronic condition but it’s hard to justify this cost to a patient.

"If I can’t get my patient the product what good will it do."

Especially with no samples... right marketing!!!

You know Marketing doesn’t make samples…if you’re not getting them it’s because manufacturing isn’t able to make them.

Gee Dave I thought that's what market forecasting was all about. My bad.
Are you really that dense?

Marketing - "hey let's order shitloads, we are heading to 10% market share"
A year later - Marketing "Oh oh, what do we do with all this inventory that's been sitting around? Release the "almost expired" samples. Let the reps figure it out"

Field Sales - "guys, we are out of "almost expired" samples"

Marketing "Hold shit, WE NEED SOME NOW"!!!

Manufacturing: "You think we can drop everything and bend over backwards for a 3% MS product? If you don't order them early, you get them late"

Ain't that the truth. He has done nothing except push good people away. I can't stand the guy. Says one thing and then will change his mind the next day - all to appease Hags. He never fights for the field. Never.
