Glidescope?

Is this a solid product? Asked to interview. Looking at company website, only a couple of openings across U.S for this division, which should be positive thing?

Currently with Olympus. Constant negativity and cuts with comp/additional spiffs. We have about 40 TM positions available!

Wondering if Verathon would be a wise move

Unfortunately being the gold standard is irrelevant today even if that were true. The market is now educated on VL's and we are seeing a major shift from our accounts only using GS's to now using far less expensive devices that do the same thing. We are experiencing a moderate bleed out and blowing the huge lead we had with both devices. It is just a matter of time before it all ends. Everyone here knows it including management but we stay because we are to lazy to do anything about it, myself included.

Well if you stay compensation must not be all that terrible. HR said first year is 145-150 realistically. Comp around that range?

That product would be great if the executive team would focus on "The Product" and "The consumers", not the "Big Wigs" and "Expansion". They need to focus on the customer market that is leaving you in the dust for competitors.

This place is top heavy, more execs collecting salaries w/o doing anything to earn them. VP of sales, misses his # in 2016, president told sales it was “adjusted,” VP goes to P Club. Misses his # again in 2017, they sent him to P Club AGAIN because the trip was already paid for. Setting a great example for those of us actually hitting our #’s...NOT.

I couldn’t agree more. When we were at the Seattle sales meeting, I couldn’t keep track of all the senior directors and vice presidents that were giving all those boring presentations. It’s great they are in charge of all these big responsibilities but we never see any of their tasked work.

As for numbers being raised and later “adjusted”, this is becoming a regular occurrence to window dress our company’s shitty performance. Comp plans get slashed regularly yet more work is required. The nerve of my regional manager who asks me help cover for someone because they quit....yeah sure, you bet, I’ll do it. What a douche.

All real talent beware. I can’t speak for the entire sales team, but current employee who works intimately with sales here - Middle managers don’t want to work and refuse to disagree with execs so they pretend everything is on track. The ENTIRE company operates this way. Nothing has changed in 10 years except the staff who aren’t qualified to get real jobs elsewhere. New managers come in and never figure out how work actually gets done

Shipping has been short ordering the same vital part for 8 months..
finance is working on a new ERP system and claims they’re 6 months away from ‘going live’... we haven’t started any data conversions or account clean up and we’re still in the consulting phase.

In Q2, 76 people left verathon. Which means you’ll get to do their job too if you join. How you don’t mind working two jobs for the price of 1

Couldn’t agree more. Lotta insight on this forum about ‘understanding the competition’ that’s kickin versthona ass.

Please be reassured that there is a single part time college intern copy and pasting info from websites into a spreadsheet so we can say we understand the competition. Problem solved. Chalk another win for the executives

Looking at a role in NV/AZ. How many reps are selling Glidescope now? Do any also carry Bladderscan? Is the quota for Glidescope still about ~1 million per year? I wouldn't have looked at Verathon, but the new products seem interesting. Thanks!

What is at plan $ for selling glide scope . Should be an easy sell with the new products .

New products will dominate this space. GS Meat and potatoes lives between 140-200 average. Good year 200+, top reps will be in the 300’s with 1 or 2 outliers above.

This is hilarious. This page has had zero activity and now all of a sudden 3 posts all talking good about Verathon? Clearly, a manager has a position open and is trying to fill it, please know you are killing your career and this is a crappy company to work for.

What's the realistic earnings for an average territory 140-200k is obviously a lie

Don’t be mad you left before the new technology launched. Only single use airway management solution with vl and bronch. Tons of GlideScope openings across the country (said no-one ever)
