Why not wait until the end of the year to put out the goals for the year behind us Aptalis? Jack the enzyme goals through the roof, but take out the CF centers credit for GI reps first with the original number having the CF $ volume factored in to goals, I would say future goals but the goals come out after its over with anyway. This makes sense, and is so motivating

Yep...And I love the answers from the directors "we'd rather them be accurate...so it takes longer for us to get them". WOW....can't you do better than that crap?? Then my mgr told me the same thing and I almost threw him out of my car...ya think I was born yesterday you dolt
 
Goals for quarter 4 are now posted to Synergy. Just in time for you all to finish the year strong. All of your territory goals have been adjusted so no one will receive a decent bonus. We won't get a "payout" for the miserable bonus until Christmas so the Thanksgiving food bank won't come into play. It will be more of "Its A Wonderful Life" and Aptalis is really Potterville.
 
Why are they called "goals" if they are posted with no time for action? The dictionary states that a "goal" is something forward thinking, something to strive for, to work toward to complete a particular something.

1 a : the terminal point of a race b : an area to be reached safely in children's games 2 : the end toward which effort is directed : aim 3 a : an area or object toward which players in various games attempt to advance a ball or puck and usually through or into which it must go to score points b : the act or action of causing a ball or puck to go through or into such a goal c : the score resulting from such an act

Nicely said. This would only be important to a mgmt structure that cared. Aptalis mgmt does not care about bonus payouts to salespeople, so this thinking wont work.
