Ryan helped me find a GREAT opportunity with one of the top pharmaceutical advertising agencies in New York City.
Ryan was very professional and spent the time listening to what my needs were prior to sharing my information with any agencies in the city.
I don't know whether he does much work with Medical device or Salespeople but I first hand would suggest Ryan if you are looking to expand your career in the advertising realm.

How come the so called "good recruiter lists" are never the same people???? And not to sound ungrateful but where do these lists come from and what makes them "good"?

So what exactly is a good recruiter? I know recruiters are extremely busy; especially in this economy. In my humble opinion, a good recruiter is someone who clearly knows their client's needs and takes the time to find the best candidate for the position. Clearly their are many candidates that almost perfectly fit the client's requirements. However, there are candidates out there who are well qualified, but because they have a gap in their work history or have changed industries, they don't get a close look. So, a good recruiter to me is one who will take the time to get to know who I am. I have one recruiter that I have known for 12 years. I had'nt spoken with him in 6 years (I should have), when I called him he responded by naming two companies that I worked for over the years. He had gotten to know me and I had gotten to know him. He's working with me but his 'placement' focus has changed to longterm capital equipment sales for seasoned reps; of which I am qualified to do. I need someone who will take a few moments to get to know me for placement with medical positions that require shorter sales cycles. That's the kind of recruiter I need. Do they exist in this current job market?

Steer clear of Frank Potter. I don't know about the rest of MSR but Frank will call you and set-up tentative interview times and then disappear. He does not return phone calls but miraculously will return email (sans spell checker) if there is something in it for him. I wasted 2 months on this guy and never could get a straight answer as to whether or not I was not a good fit for the job he was recruiting for. Curious that he was sending candidates out on interviews and the company's HR depatment had no jobs available. He is not legitimate and is a huge waste of time!
 


Just post your resume and let them find you. All you'll do by emailing all these recruiters your resume is just piss them off. Post it on Career Builder and Medzilla and if they have a job, they'll find you.
 


Healthcarereps.com - reumse writing

Does anyone have any information on the value of using Healthcarereps.com resume writing service. Supposedly, an expert in Pharma resume writing charges $249.00 for professional resume and cover letter. His name is Mark Bartz. Tired of being "scammed" for resume blasts, job boards, etc.
