GPS Tracker

Companies that pay mileage can set up systems anyway they want. Some companies will just have reps manually entert start miles and end miles at the beginning of the month and end of the month. The fact that Dermira is paying extra to use the GPS tracker for every stop says that they do want the information. What they do with that information will be known eventually.

Says a lot about the management that they feel this is a necessary cost for a start up.

I submitted my resume to Dermira. I would have killed it, but didn't even get a chance to interview. Their loss. I'm not bitter, but I do wonder how this process unfolds. I have 3+ decades of pharma under my belt. I have found that younger hiring managers tend to look for younger candidates, thinking they will stay loyal in their first job. That is not likely.

I encourage your company (and others) to consider people who have 2-3 decades in this industry. Take a hard look at their credentials. You might be surprised what you will find.

Just like other industries, there are great people willing to work hard and they should have the same opportunities that others have.

poster #8 - the reason you probably didn't get hired is because the hiring manager was most-likely intimidated by your experience - sad truth. It is the rare manager who is confident enough in himself ,who can hire someone older and possibly wiser than him, knowing that it will help his district and company.

Very true. I’m in the same boat. I have several years of dermatology experience, but I didn’t even get an interview. I checked out their LinkedIn and in my area they hired a lot of young women with no dermatology experience. The DM is a young male who probably hired them to make himself look good.

You should be bitter, I know I am. I will call out these companies for their discriminatory hiring practices.

I think it’s Corporate America trying to get anyone over 55 out of the workforce. How many people (reps, managers, leaders) were hired that are over 55? A show of hands please.

yoooo this app this wack, for real. No one knows if they should have it on always or what. Drains my battery like crazy and I have a pretty good car charger. Any tips for making batter life last longer? I have it on the smart mode or whatever so don’t recommend that. Any hacks?
