Heard good things about this position. Have seen Gyrus in the OR. Even in poorly run territories, is the quality of the Gyrus line able to overcome competitors? Good income potential? Candid thoughts about working for Gyrus appreciated.
They are behind on technology. Covidien and Valley Lab own the market. They are very strong in some markets and where they have very experienced sales leadership. Also, they have recently been restricted from selling the Gyrus unit for Bipolar GYN procedures. This is not good. Big plus is they are now owned by Olympus who is a cash cow and would probably not let an acquisition such as Gyrus fade away.
thanks for the info. What's the reason for the bipolar being banned? Safety? Patent infringement? Isn't the bipolar a primary product in the "Gyrus bag"? What are Gyrus' premier products?
