Help needed

I am an Antech client and have been for a number of years. My "contract" is set to expire in a few months. Our office feels the lab is average, but not sure if the grass is greener at any other lab. In a weak moment I agreed to extend my contract for an additional number of years. The check as not arrived as of yet. I am having severe doubts about staying. Regional manager got into a spat with a dear friend in another part of region and was verbally intimidating to her. We've also had a few major lab errors in the past few weeks.

We no longer have a sales rep and not sure if we ever will. We've had no communication on that front.

My question is o wise sales people, who do I need to get in touch with to put the contract on hold for a bit? Regional person has a temper and I'm intimidated by him. Will SR help me? Will anyone help me?

Any help you can give me would be much appreciated.

Hi CN! Good to see you spend your valuable time perusing the boards. It's not AT, but I know how to reach her if needed. We certainly need some representation around here. I'm certain that you would not like all the clients I talked to to get together and tell what we know. Or maybe you would? So can you offer assistance or not? All my best!!!!

Now that you have signed a new contract, it may be too late. Not sure if you are on VIN, but you can go the area that is for the public and read the article about Antech suing several vets for trying to get out of their contracts. And not just for the money they paid them upfront, but for the entire amount of the contract (eg goal is 3,000/month, for 5 year contract would be $180,000!). Not an ethical company to do business with. My best advice going forward is NEVER sign a contract for X number of years with a lab company; Antech or their competitors. Make them give you the best price all the time without a contract or you are leaving for a better company.

"Not an ethical company to do business with" - Are you serious?
So let me get this straight, a doctor takes money, equipment, best pricing etc and signs an agreement only to soon thereafter break the agreement and you say that Antech is not an ethical company to do business with? You must be joking or the dumbest person on earth!

If you read the filings in the cases and saw the reasons the doctors were trying to cancel the contracts (including the one that paid back all of the up front money, at a higher interest than asked for) because Antech did not deliver on their promises, services, etc. that were included in the contract, even though the doctors worked with them for over a year to allow Antech to correct the deficiencies, then you might change your mind. Unless of course you are an Antech employee who continues to drink the kool aid.

The contacts should protect Antech, the veternarian, and most importantly the pet. It does seem that the contracts are more one sided toward Antech. I cannot understand why Antech would want to keep a client in a contract when the client is not happy. Yes, the veternarian must be willing to pay back any payment or pay for equipment that was given.

But why in the world would you as a sales rep want to keep a client who was toxic?

Is there not a way to end the contract by repayment possibly with a penalty?

Who in management thinks unhappy clients are good things?

The original poster asked if anyone had any ideas as to how to suspend a contract that has not been fulfilled. I would suggest that he call corporate in Ca and work up the chain there. surely with open communication there is a remedy to this problem.
