Help. Thinking of applying for a new role

Probably not the best place to get insights but thought I’d try. I’m looking at applying for a new role on a national team. There’s an opening now and here there will be more. Thoughts on whether the grass is any greener there than in ecosystems? Is the leadership stronger?

If you are coming to CP for direction - don't bother looking for a new job - keep your current one. You don't have the foresight to explore new avenues.

Do you zero clue what's going on outside of your vacation home, golf course, or in the field?

Do you take credit for things that you did literally nothing to affect like changes in Payer Policy, VA/DOD Formulary, State/Federal regulations, or C-suite level health system decisions?

Do you have such an air of self-importance that you have minions send out emails to the people in the field (the ones making the actual impact that you take credit for) reminding them that they should never contact you directly under the guise of being important but in reality it's because you don't actually have the answers to any questions?

If so, you are a perfect candidate for National Teams.

Take it they said no to you

It is best to stay in your current position like others have stated. I recently lost s good co-worker friend who resigned from Genentech. She parked but couldn’t make herself get out of the car. She decided right then and there that she couldn’t continue working under a hypocritical system. I immediately understood how she felt. I feel the future for most of us will end up like this.
