Hiring process at LabCorp?

I'm wondering if anyone can help with some info on the hiring process at LabCorp. I saw that they have a Sales Rep opening in my area and I've always heard good things about the position. Does LabCorp do their own recruiting or do they have a recruiting firm they use? Anyone that currently works at LabCorp feel like giving an honest view of the job?

Most of their hiring is done off the net. Try Labcorp.com
If you do get an interview they will require you to take a personality test “AKA” Skills test on line. Lab Corp is just a smaller version of Quest if you know Quest you know LabCorp.
Good Luck to you

They also use recruiters in some divisions.

I found going this route is much more sucessful. The one I used knew exactly the questions they were going to ask, provided me with a template of materials, prepped me for the interview and knew all of the reasons the position was open. You won't get this going throught their website. My recruiter was knew the hiring VP personally and was shared his personality and exactly what he was looking for as far as a new hire.

I've gone both routes, and hands down work with someone who has the insided scoop. It also depends where you live. I was in two locations, the Denver area and the Texas area. Don't know how they do it anywhere esle.

I don't think we can trade information, but I have a recruiter that has both worked for them in a leadership role and personal friends with the VPs of those two division.

Also, I didn't have the perfect background they were looking for, so a recruiter was able to sell my background. Going through the website will screen you out if you don't have all the requirements.

Hope that helps

Hiring process is a joke. You go through an internet test (s), talk to Rembrandt which is an outsoursed HR group, take more tests and never hear from them. Useless.

I'd love that recruiter's information if you're willing to post it, or can figure out another way to share it.

The process is simple, however depending on the area your looking into make sure you find out if your division has their own comp plan. In Texas sales you don't have to follow the corp comp plan, it is actually a better paying plan. Plus you get to double dip on getting payments and can really make the plan work for you, I have some peers in that state that have done it, they actually get paid on the new business they bring in, and what the account mgrs bring in as well.

Here's the key. Always keep your lips pre-moistened in the event you are suddenly asked to kiss something. Which is a very good likelyhood. Then practice walking with a pickle stuck in your rear area just in case you need to take the blame for your manager's mistake. If you're willing to do these things and more, then you are qualified as a recruit to work for LabCorp. Good luck.

They are right.....training is obsolete! I was thrown into the field after only a few days after sitting in the lab with the various departments learning about how they hate their job and how awful the Area Director and RMBD are. And, if they tell you that you will be going to Bootcamp...that is a joke, also. Useless! Run, run away! There is a reason why there are always sales jobs posted for this company. Read the writing on the wall!!! I wish I had.

I spent 10 years at this place. The first 7 or 8 was good, then the Comp. Plan changed. No body at LabCrap understands the Comp Plan. You will not get paid, you will get screwed and you will not get trained. If that is what you are looking for, then go for it. But don't say you were not warned!

Can someone please tell me what the hiring process is like in the Northeast?
Please, no negative comments- trying to advance my career and this seems like a great place to work!!

Run Run far away from the Northeast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
