Ed Cummings passed away last week.

He had ALS and fought the good fight but could not tame the beast. You might recall that he was at one time the Trental Product manager before David Snow and after Steve Cullinan. He was a great guy.
 










sorry about ed; didn't know him, but very familiar with als; ironic that rhone poulenc had the only drug for als, and hmr merged with rpr to create aventis; aventis did nothing with rilutek, other than to eliminate the specialty sales force who accomplished great things in the marketplace, and of course sanofi doesn't consider it a valid drug either; what a shame.
 


I used to work for hoehst roussel. i amwondering if anyone knows what number to call regarding retirement benefits. since the comany haschanges so many times, i have no ideawho or where to contact...thanks
 


When i needed a reference awhile back, they had to contact Celanese because they said all of the old Hoechst-Roussel records went with the Celanese side of the business. I think there is still an office in the Bridgewater area. I would call the Sanofi-Aventis number and ask for Human Resources.
 


Hoechst- Roussel was a fucking Nazi company run by alcoholic scumbags. I challenge any of you cocksuckers to dispute this truth. What a piece of shit company who fucked alot of great people out of their livlihoods.

Hoechst-Roussel was a great company until it merged w/ Marion. Yes there were a few assholes but what company doesn't have their fair share of assholes. For the most part I loved the company-

Circa Schenck, Haymes, McMurtry, Winer, Greenup, Richardson, Shanklin, Tyree, Hilger, Tinkler, Hunt, Tidwell, Szumski, Sawrie, Pack, Sullentrop etc. Where are you guys? Hopefully well, well off, and enjoying life. So sad about Ed Cummings. HRPI was a fantastic place that cared about this those that cared about the business. Stocked with great people before things went bad. The merger/s were a necessity. The mid 90's college set being brought into the industry at that time with little to no sense are fortunate to have jobs that were founded on the daily efforts of the aforementioned. Keep this thread going...

Remember how the security guards outside Sommerville wore uniforms that mimicked Nazi SS style outfits. We would goose step into the cafeteria during training and salute der Fuhrer Bryson Fisk. Hoechst past is full of deplorable atrocities ie: development of gas that killed millions during holocaust, funding of the Nazi war machinery, look up I.G. FARBEN precursor to Hoechst. Achtung baby.

In my case all three. But like Keith Richards, I have been dead ten years and nobody has bothered to tell me yet.
Any of you guys on the shuttle bus to the airport the day that Sandy Reagan mooned the other bus that had all the middle managers and women on it on the way to the airport? 8 of us put up $5 each to get him to do it. Kinda destroyed his chance at management.
