Cute how they’re back together again. Tom is a complete buffoon. Wouldn’t trust that guy as far as I could throw his fat ass. They should hire Eric Compton too. I’m sure their national sales meetings need a DJ. What a dork that guy is. Probably got his lunch money stolen every day in school.

That’s a really good question. None of them seem to last very long. It all seems to start at the top with the guy that cheated on his wife. The arrogant 30 million dollar man with a smile I wouldn’t trust if you paid me 30 million. The Carl Icahn lover. He’s the problem and the division is like a revolving door since. SM has ruined hologic surgical and turned it into Stryker. Get rid of everyone who knows what they’re doing and replace them with little children fresh out of college. What a laughable business model.

He definitely has the Stryker mentality where turnover is not viewed as a negative. Stryker cares about very few reps - other than the chosen few veterans, everyone is dispensable one way or another. The industry is shifting with consolidation, greater emphasis being placed on economic buyers, physicians being employed by the hospital and having less influence, contracts becoming more important, etc. Seems to me SM and other leaders value the rep less and less each year. I have friends at other large companies like MDT and BSX and it doesn't seem as extreme there.
 
This company nor SM give two sh!&s about the patient or their health. TMs have either fled the apocalypse or were let go. For three years shelves were stocked with product and the company "enjoyed record earnings" while they refused to be forward looking and address both competition as well as new product development. Some great people worked there and some real jerks still work there. GSS is being primed for sale. In truth the non-clinical territory manager or rep in this space or any other has a bleak future because unless you have credibility you will be looking at the inside of the out door in any hospital or physician practice.
