People will continue to hire like themselves. Find a white blonde woman in the IT department. Go for it. I’ll wait. 5 years ago, leaders were rewarded on the number of black and Hispanic hires. Actually rewarded on their bonuses for the NUMBER…yes the number of people who were hired and promoted up through the ranks to Director and Senior Director levels. Friend in the company actually started using her maiden name in the system because it was Hispanic. Her father was Spanish and grew up in France. She is 1K% French but on paper appears to be a Latino and the HR 24 year old intern just looked at names.
