OK, here is the "pretend" scenario..... You just landed a job outside of pharma, you signed the paperwork today and you will start in 60 days. How would you handle your exit?

What would you say to your team, manager and regional?

Would you be professional and keep the bridges where they are, or would you burn them?

I'm just curious, I've got a friend who just told me this..........
 


double dip.........work both jobs. You can ususally make it about 8 months of not working as a pharma rep. There is no bridge to burn in this industry. if u just suckafewdongs your job is safe
 


Like the previous poster. Keep both jobs until novo finds out. it will take a while. continue faking calls, use the gas card and car, enjoy the salary, bonus and benefits as long as you can. when novo does find out, it is so hard to fire someone, they will probably have to put you on a plan which will take 60 days plus so you can enjoy another 60 days of double dipping. despite novo never having a layoff, it is just a matter of time before they too join the ranks of the rest of pharma and start swinging the ax. maybe not this year or next but just about the time you are feeling comfortable in your career, that is when it will start. novos patents won't last forever and with digital marketing taking over along with mail order samples, how long will they continue to pay sales forces of this size?

I agree 100%. If this job is outside of pharma, double dip as long as you can. You may be sureprised to find out how many others are already doing this!

poster is right about the ethics and morals of too many jack off reps in the company.
 


No one has ever been fired or gone to hell for a spelling error. Maybe you should worry more about you longterm career or eternal future verses spelling errors. What do you think will happen if your so called new employer finds out what your doing? Guess what? Their excellent leadership fires liars, cheaters and thieves as well. The 3 reasons I just gave you are the top 3 reasons people get fired by our poor leadership. Do you see the similarity? Regardless of your perception of leadership, people like you will always be on sites like this complaining, scheming about how to cheat the company while leadership tracks you down and puts another sad avoidable ending to your miserable career. Leadership may be a small part of the problem at novo, but it's people like you who are the problem and deserve to be run out of here in the most humiliating, carefree, and fasted way possible. You are the laughing stock of our company, the problem with Pharma and the pond scum of society. The fact that you would even consider this defies belief. What would your parents, wife or child say? I don't know how you even sleep at night. Enjoy what you have now, because your moral compass is going to run you right off a cliff and when it happens you will begging from the interface dinner table for scraps to feed your homeless broken self. You deserve what's coming to you, I just hope for your sake you wise up before it's too late.
 


Although sad, this stuff happens. People lie, steal and betray friends, colleagues and this company to get what they want. Don't do this, it is wrong, selfish and mean spirited. Do what is right because karma will get you sooner or later, no matter what level you are at.

First off, my career is not miserable, you can check my coe ring with three diamonds, my two vision awards, and 3 promotions in 5 years. Get off your high horse. And you forgot a comma in one of your sentences... Can you find it? That makes you a dumb dumb. Now get your glossy out and go sell, don't forget to pick up cupcakes on the way in to your biggest target! Oh, and by the way, my new boss encouraged the double dipping because he is ex-pharma too. I won't do it though, I don't roll like that. Enjoy all the interface food you can, those programs are so valuable.
