Imaging guy trying making up some usless DPMP lab test

so now HDL and Blue Wave apparently hired this Szilard Voros, who in my opinion is very incompetent simply because he really does not know what he is talking about clinically at all. He has made up this new markers of DPMP which is a total JOKE. it is usless for physicians especially if you are cardiologist like me. and what family practice Doc has the time to order some new usless markers that have no relevance to treatment?? This is just another gimmick to "re-package" what is already out there and in many cases we do not need it!!

This is actually interesting.. First i know this guy i have worked with him in the past.. I though he was in imaging. it is obvious that he has no clue what it is like to treat and manage patients. Looking at this I wouldn't even let these guys past my front door.

I find this so upsetting. Several months ago I actually attended a "CME" program in Las Vegas (where i practice) that i think it was "sponsored" by HDL and this Dr. Voros was one of the speakers (obviously he's doing something that is either financially beneficial to HDL or he's getting paid on the side from them) whatever the case is it seemed at that time strange to me that they would send him to speak to folks like us (cardiologists and family practice etc) who actually see patients. Apparently when i asked him if he's ever treated a patient? His response was NO. So i asked him "have you even ordered an HDL test?" after looking left and right, he responded NO. to my surprise this guy has no clue what it is like to be in practice and the short time we have between patients and the liabilities we have if we order all these tests and Not knowing or being able to follow up on!
So here is HDL sending a "medical expert" who knows nothing about their test. He hasn't even ordered one test. this is laughable.
needless to say i am upset because i wasted that morning listening to him.

It really is upseting that he is promoting such tests without having any clue. I agree with other comments, he's obviously getting some kind of kick back. otherwise if I was HDL I would at least use someone who knows what they are actually talking about.

I am a MD in the US as well. and i think you guys are off your rockers. although you may be right about this Dr. Voros. and i think the videos and test he's promoting may be useless, HDL does have great team and does have extremely valuable tests that NO OTHER LABS OFFER! and it 90% of what they do is noble then that's so much better then anyone else. so stop your bi#%*&)

Actually, i have to disagree with you. When i attended the CME where this Dr. Voros was lecturing, it seems like a mechanic telling the piolt all the technical aspects of a new high tech engine but never once does the mechanic tell him how to fly the thing. this is exactly what this Dr. Voros does for HDL he tells you the technical "stuff" which could be easily memorized by any sales person, but never does he tell mehow to apply it to my patients. That's what i really need. Also in reference to your "other great medical persons" i saw on their CME site this Dr. Sam Fillingane, who in my opinion is also another totally incompetent physician, he quotes data and statistics that he MAKES UP. these data he refers to are no where to be found in the medical world but yet he is so confident about them. what a joke. I hope the other physicians on their advisory board are not like that, because what he says, in my opinion is MAJOR liability. And this is posted on their own site.

Which of their tests do you believe no other lab is offering?

Sure you're an MD.....scavenging a pharma message board. If this is really true, expose yourself dude. How much are you making off the HDL BS.

BTW--there are plenty of other labs running the SAME test...get a clue and better education.
