Interview in NJ

I am currently in the process of exploring options with Dentsply in New Jersey. Any insight into this company, territory, managers, etc. would be greatly appreciated.

If its with the implant division, I would think long and hard about it. They have been struggling with their product line for a few years. There was a NYC area position filled about 6 months ago, and that position is already open again-the new person has already left. Implant business is almost impossible unless you are working for one of the major players. I work in the implant field, but not selling implants anymore, working with the various implant reps selling a complementary product. Not disgruntled or an axe to grind, just giving my experience.

Agreed, implants are very tough these days. Unless you take over a performing territory, it is very difficult to convert accounts. Everyone has picked their brand and they are sticking with it in this rough economy. The surgeons don't want to rock the boat with their referral base by introducing a new implant for them to learn how to restore. So that leaves new implant placing GP's as the only reall area to close new business. Yuck.
