Yes, I’ve been reading through the threads. Is the culture really worse than other companies? Specifically asking about your division representing Zepbound and Mounjaro.

It depends a lot on the manager you work for and how good they are at shielding the team. General demand and expectations from the company are high. Work is pretty intense with lots of priorities to juggle all the time and a lot more run around with AI driven targeting and metrics. Senior leadership thinks it’s ok if people have to work overtime. Customers also have a lot of questions and constantly need help, a lot more than any other product I’ve ever sold. The company wants you to push these products for everyone and their mother and it’s a highly competitive environment. Oh, and you’ll also be expected to do plenty of extra non-sales initiatives if you want to get merit increases or promote. Sometimes those can be a nice distraction from the sales grind but you still have to meet all your metrics first. You have to be agile and able to pivot quickly and often here, it can be pretty tiring. Benefits are pretty good, but they work you to exhaustion before those two much needed shutdowns.
So I’d say, make sure to interview your manager and ask a lot of smart questions.

Who is the manager? Territory?

Yes tons of extra work projects that are worthless, but necessary to get merit raises. They pretend these projects are fabulous and helpful, however just takes us away from customers. We work way more than I have in any other pharma company and we make less. Restructuring happens every year, they will fire and re-hire based on. Nothing but zip code. Truly no consideration for employees even though it’s what they preach.

There’s a whole lot of bullshit preached here~
People, Integrity and Excellence, my ass.

honestly...RUN...awesome products but goals are HUGE...growth goal for Q3 is 75% for Z...and we didn't hit it in Q2...last bonus was 5k...no joke! AI tells you where to go and who to see and even if you have a "cool" manager they are held accountable to these AI goals...truly wouldn't come to Lily unless you had NO options...none of that touches on the woke culture ...RUN

Culture is horrific at Lilly. Agree with the previous post…only take a job here if you positively are out of options. They run you ragged here. It’s by far the worst pharma job I’ve experienced in 16 years. I’ve been here a little more than two and cannot wait to get out of this soul wrenching hell hole.

I’ve also been in pharma for quite some time and I can tell you this is by far the worst culture and leadership I’ve experienced. Fully agree with the response above.

So true about running you ragged. I have never worked this hard in my life. One and a half years and I am gone!!

Natural GLP1 has a duration of action of about 10 minutes. Laboratory engineered artificial GLP1 has a duration of action of weeks. Would you want one of your loved ones to take these artificial long acting synthetic hormones knowing their healthy pancreas is punished with constant stimulation just so they can feel full? Does it make sense for their healthy pancreas to produce and store insulin when less insulin is needed because of less being eaten with weight loss? Pancreatitis is in package insert and is a known risk factor for pancreatic cancer. Were the studies large enough to have the statistical power to show true risk? What about thyroid cancer in package insert as well? What other unknown risks are associated with these artificial laboratory engineered long acting hormones? Blindness? What else?

After millions of years of evolution, natural GLP1 has a duration of action of only a few minutes. Natural GLP1 works to “wake up” the pancreas to produce and store insulin that will be needed when blood glucose rises from a meal.

Now that we have these fantastic laboratory derived GLP1s the have a duration of action of weeks, the healthy pancreas is now unnaturally stimulated and punished producing and storing insulin that will be needed less because less food is consumed with weight loss.

Underperforming representatives will be fired if sales goals are not achieved.

More management field visits are definitely needed.
