INTERVIEWING






Please read all the boards on Greer. This is the worst company you will ever come to. Please do not take it. Do your homework. Everything on Greer is true. They will not let you succeed, they will let you go in a year if they are not out of business first. Everything is true. If you do take it get a lawyer before you sign anything! They will screw you out of it all.
 


Sadly this is all true. I just left and it was the happiest day of my work career. This is a very small company that has already had two layoffs in less than a year. By March or April this is a done deal. They will lie to you and not pay you. Those of us who came over with their expansion were warned by the people before us. We did not listen as we were told this is new leadership and the people before us were terrible sales reps. It turned out it is not true. They were not terrible sales reps, it is a terrible company. Everyone of us has been lied to, not paid out, and they throw you under the bus last minute. It is a company that cannot get their act together. They promise you something, it takes the months to get it done, then it is a fire drill.

You need to ask questions and then come back here and verify. Ask them how many people have been in each territory in the last year. More than half of the territories in the company have had two and three sales reps. If they tell you anything else they are lying. When they tell you what the bonuses are or could be, remember this is something that is not always true. The benefits are there, but they are subpar. You have to question in a company with so few sales people, how there are so many different people on here stating the same thing. This is not the response of a few angry people that are bitter. We all know that this website is usually a place to vent nasty, angry, hateful things. There are many of us who are good people And are speaking the truth. I don't believe anyone actually listens to this type of advice, we all want to believe that there are great companies and that we can be successful especially when we are looking for a job. Unless you are unemployed and are having a hard time finding a job, do not take this. I hope my territory is not the one you are interviewing for because let me tell you, it is a disaster. Many of us were not completely happy At our previous jobs and came here thinking we were already unhappy and how much worse can this be. More than half have already left, some were given no notice to leave, and the rest of us are very actively looking.

Merck pulled out of this marketplace recently. When these large pharmaceutical companies decide there is no business and this cannot be done, that should speak volumes. We had all been talking about this in the company. When you have a powerhouse that abandons a disease state, it is not the opportunity that you should be left with. It is the question of why. Yes there is a little opportunity there, but if you take the entire marketplace and multiply it by 10, we still do not have a profitable company.

I totally agree with #3 and #4.
Merck pulling out if this market is very very telling. Doctors will not start patients on this drug because they refer pts to Allergists. Now you tell me if you are an allergist, would not you want to start pts on allergy shot or would you RX this pill n never see pts again??????
 


It is all true and even worse. The Stallergenes people came in to the best company in the industry and completely destroyed it. We had great sales people with extremely strong relationships and honest management. The new management team hasn't a clue and lies about everything, because they would lose their job if they told the truth. You will either quit or be fired in 6 months, guaranteed.
 






If you take the job you will regret it like nothing you have ever done. I will come back to collect on it.

I heard candidates that have musical talent are encouraged to apply. If you play a string instrument and have 'Titanic type' experience you are almost guaranteed a position.

if merck could not do it, why would greer be able to do it. the only chance for this company is to run TV ads and hope pts would ask thier doc to rx it, because no way on earth any allergist would rx his pts away. none sense position to apply for
 


They are having A hard time meeting payroll. You think they should run ads? It's a shit show. Do you remember the last meeting? How was your granola bar that you had for breakfast? There is no money. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to see what is right in front of them.
 


Ok, this is for existing reps. I just received an offer here. I got out of big pharma 5 years ago b/c of all of the BS of micromanaging.
Is this company like that? Do they value actual scripts over chasing signatures?
Seriously I have second and third interviews lined up with other companies. Everything I read on here says stay far away.

Is there any ray of hope for this company or should I turn it down and keep looking or take it and see what comes of it as there are no guarantees I will get offers from the other companies.

Ummmmmm.......read any of the last 20 posts on this site. They are all true, I really don't know why the investors keep throwing money at this disaster. The extracts (which aren't very profitable) are selling because there is a market for them. Tablets? Management must not sleep much constantly coming up with lie after lie after lie to keep money pouring in to keep their job....run far away and don't look back because the explosion is imminent.

If you have other prospects and are currently working, do not take this job. It will be the largest regret you've ever had. Having many years in the business and knowing that often people complain about anything, this is a disaster unlike anything many of us have seen in 15 and 20 years.

The thing about this whole sector is that there is a fundamental difference between European and US approaches to allergy
None of the European therapies can get a grip on the current US approach (hence no sales for either Greer or Merck)
Crazy to believe otherwise and to gamble the house on it
Seasonal , precoseasonal blah blah blah.....Plus they sting like hell!
