is EWHU really that bad

So I'm interviewing for a ewhu position and have gotten the feeling from this message board that things aren't so good. Is it true I can only expect to make 100k? I make that in pharma already, so why should I go through all the training B*S and expect to make no more money???? Is the 50K base negotiable? Bottom line, should I just stay in pharma and wait for my big fat severance during the next round of layoffs or go to work for jnj with this position w/ ewhu to build my resume w/ some device experience?
 


Stay in pharma. This is the weakest division in J&J medical and is run like a pharma company with a low base 55k, only 30 reps hit forcast out of over 140. This place was a good company years ago, but wont be around much longer as J&J sheds underperforming divisions. You would sell old products (a few up-grades), make a low base salary. Not hit forcast, probably go on a plan, and work for a company that schedules long boring meetings over super bowl sunday. Talk to any rep that has been around for a few years. The management is the worst in J&J
 




Nothing really positive to say except it was a better company to work for 5 years ago. It had better leadership,stronger vision and better marketing.

The previous poster gave you accurate information. You wouldn't ordinarily assume pharma is better than med device given the payout potential. But,in this case, pharma is exceptionally better with much less stress.

People haven't made descent money with EWHU in a long time. The major exceptions are those at the top (and that list is extremely short).

We hire from outside the company...no chance of promotion

Leadership leads by spreadsheets, more busy work than ever before...they manage by the numbers and don't understand the business.

I have been here for 3 yrs and have sold more devices than the president, vice president, and my regional manger combined...wait I could be here for 1 day and still accomplished that one
 


Who allowed an NTM to be planned over super bowl weekend? The old Ethicon would never have done this, would not have allowed this. What leader said this Ok! I want to know. I will miss my family /friends, enjoying the game with my kids, to role play, and listen to people who know very little about what I do. This is great. This might be a longer version of the Prosima launch, in other words, a complete waste of time, and a buzz kill that will last another 2 weeks. I will bet the farm we will not hit forcast this year. I mean I will bet the pharm that we will not be a plan once this year.
 


is it safe to say that reps are coming into work for EWHU just to gain OR experience and then jumping ship?

Is this company still around. I thought they had moved it to pharma. So many people running the company were former pharma, and they were trying to sell Thermachoice. Any insight?
