is Mitek finished?

and don't forget....Mitek has the hot new Latarjet System. Remember...always be closing.
the only thing mitek closes is the door after the arthrex rep shows up and the doc tells the mitek rep to get the heck out.

mitek blows. they put everything into their composite material and forgot to invets in knotless anchors. docs could careless about the by material

Arthrex better look out....as soon as Mitek buys Smith & Nephew, comes up with innovative ideas of their own, becomes MUCH MORE involved in residency & fellowship programs, launches products in a MUCH MORE timely manner, quits promoting complacent employees that have hung around for years, fires EVERY employee that is dead weight (especially those agent prinicipals that are running their distributorships into the ground..and you know who you are), improves quality control so our "me too" products aren't recalled/placed on backorder, and finally shows some desire to be #1 in this market...Mitek will take over the world!!

I don't work for either Mitek or Arthrex but know quite a bit about both of them. Arthrex is a good company with very good products. Their reps are morons though. Mitek is a screw, anchor, and orthocord company. They keep it simple without flashy products. Milagro, Healix, and Orthocord are all great products that surgeons like. It doesn't take babysitting to use any of these so their reps aren't the sharpest guys either. If you ask me, who cares? If you sell 200K a month for Arthrex, they will pay you 6-8 percent minus your associates, small joint guys. You could sell half that for another sports med company and make the same amount. Arthrex reps are so busy worrying they are the best company, they are too stupid to see that Arthrex pays the smallest commissions out there.

You obviously do not know what you are talking about.

I agree with the above post. Arthrex has 7 employees running around my territory. I believe arthrex pays their reps 40-50k base salary and then split the commission for the territory amongst the 7 of them. Most of their reps are also straight out of college, immature and make up for their lack of intelligence by trying to act like the circulating nurse in the OR. One of their reps told me they were coming out with an ankle nail, clavicle plate and distal radius plate 2 months ago. Way to ruin the element of surprise dumbass. Oh ya and I heard they're scrapping the ankle nail because they couldn't decide between copying the biomet nail or the wright nail.

Arthrex reps are too funny. These guys would not have a prayer of being hired by any other company. It takes a company that really couldnt give a rat's ass about professionalism to give them a job. When all you care about is making money for yourself it makes the shaved heads and tattoos easier to overlook (not too overlook the facial hair). Does this company ever hold job fairs anywhere other than trailor parks? Just wondering..

I have been a Mitek rep in my territory six years and have seen TEN different Arthrex reps cycle through. A few of them were actually intelligent, hard working and showed potential. Almost all were early 20's and it was their first job out of college. That first year they were excited to have a job and thrilled to be in the med sales industry. The thing is, after that first year they are not so happy "just to be here" and want to start making some real money. The distributor - 2 guys - are only out for themselves and make the reps pay for everything out of their pocket. This includes gas and all hospital credentialing - which can run into several hundred dollars for the different facilities before you have ever sold the first anchor. Doesnt take long for the reps to get disillusioned and start looking for a real job.

As for products, the Arthrex pump is a joke. I have ONE account out of the 18 in my territory that has it and most of the docs there are old school using gravity. As jokes go, is there a bigger one than the piss poor excuse for an RF wand than the blue piece of monopolar shit Arthrex sells? I dont even know what its called..a glorified underwater bovie is all it is. Mitek is on its 4th generation RF system with the VAPER Vue. VAPR is in every one of my accounts and I make serious money every day just rolling out of bed; cases i dont ever attend.
Mitek has the #1 biocomposite material on the market. Doctors dont care about it? Keep telling yourself that. If docs dont care about it then why has Arthrex tried so hard to copy it? Emphasis on the word try. It is a source of amusement to me when I ask the poor Arthrex rep why his company has three different formulations of their supposed "biocomposite" material, and I watch the poor guy stammer and stutter at an explanation. Mitek has one formulation. One because it does exactly what the data says it does as evidenced by human second looks. Arthrex have anything other than internal propaganda, I mean "white papers"? Of course not. Material "didnt matter" so much that Arthrex felt they had to offer something even if it is a joke. Which make no mistake it is. The next Milagro business I lose to the Arthrex excuse for "biocomposite" will be the first. Ditto Graft Bolt - speaking of cheap imitations.
I'm not a polyannish "Arthrex sucks" person. To the contrary I will be the first to say that Arthrex has some good products. I do however find it ironic that a company that is small - lean & mean - made its reputation on innovation and getting products to market fast (often R&D be damned), now seems to be in complete reaction mode. "Biocomposite", Graft Bolt, 4.5 Push Lock were all reactionary to other products on the market. After years of churning out internal white papers slamming suspention fixation for ACL repairs; railing against the Smith & Nephew Endobutton what does Arthrex come out with but the Retrobutton. Oh I know I know, "its different". Sure.

Mitek "finished" (by the way, I know this was not a serious post to begin with but one started by some jerk-off Arthrex rep in serious need of a girlfriend he didnt find in a chatroom) , anything but. As for Arthrex, squeeze whatever you can out of a reputation that is dated. Your time has come and gone.

Arthrex's motto is "if we throw enough shit against the wall something will stick" and for the most part it works, some surgeons, somewhere will love it while others see no value in it. I do not work for mitek or arthrex but this is what i have noticed. Mitek is a shell of itself too. No new innovative 'game changers" as of late. You guys are riding on the success of your bio material, intrafix, and a few anchors while everyone is catching up and coming out with NEW stuff. Omnispan is NOT impressive and really expensive same goes for versalok, it's a good anchor but the price is too high. Is Mitek finished? No but it's slowly losing market share in my area at least.

Stop with your nonsense. You sound like an idiot along with being an embarrassment to your company. You have fools like Dirk Gorman all over the internet proclaiming almighty Mitek. Grow up.

Not impressive? You're right. What is impressive about an all suture, all inside meniscal repair? You sound like a S&N rep losing T-Fix business.

you sound like a new mitek rep who doesn't know what he is taking about. omnispan has 2 peek implants douchebag, go back to training.

I bet NO ONE is losing business to you.

Omnispan has impressively put some commission $ in my bank account, mainly from SN and Biomet. Arthrex's Meniscal Cinch doesn't have any play around here due to the 50% accuracy rate of deployment. Once they try it they love it and don’t look back.

You're obviously worried that Arthrex is taking your business from you and by the length of your post, you're spending too much time on the computer searching for potential users (while Arthrex is converting your docs) only to find out that the leads already use Arthrex and think Mitek products are over priced pieces of shit. Seriously though, update your resume and send it to your local Arthrex distributor, I'm sure they'll pass you up for some one more qualified.
