Is the quintiles program dead...

Or are they still hiring quintiles. Heard they were starting to hire quintiles managers but not sure if it is accurate? Does anybody have a clue what the plan is for future? Are they just slow playing the inevitable switch to drop reps?

They’ve been hiring quintiles RM’s for about 3 years. Didn’t you realize that’s why your RM hasn’t ever been in a nail case?

Corporate doesn't want sales people for RM's, they want business people for RM's. Of course, recruiting from the quintiles pond isn't the right place to find business people, but I didn't say Corporate knew what they were doing.

You can see the long list of open Synthes positions on the quintiles website. I’d say it’s just warming up.

Can assure you the quintiles program is not dead. In fact, we have just doubled our quintiles goal for 2018. We recognize that we pay our SC’s way too much money and that they’re not worth it. A scarecrow could stand there and point out which drill bit is gold. We decided it’s a better strategy to pay the people who develop the products and negotiate the contracts and relationships. Then, pay the mindless reps 70k to stand in surgery. Frankly, you guys aren’t even worth the 70k we are earmarking for your salary. The goal is have the job pay 120k a year for quota attainment by 2022.

Pay the people who develop the products? How do you get those products used and used correctly? It would actually entail getting off your fat asses and going into the operating rooms...there is no business casual day, no going to lunch most times, no going home at 5 PM...think you can handle that? I don't think most of the people I have met in the home office could be out in the field and deal with what we do each day. As far as we in the field are concerned, you guys have a very soft job and don't deserve the money you make already. If you are paid for what you develop, you must be broke because there has not been any new product or innovation coming from any of you in a while

What product dev? You mean fenestrated screws? The ilizarov rip off? There's no product development department, its the copy and paste department. JNJ doesn't innovate anything, they buy companies and run them into the ground.

Very evident based on what they've done to Synthes.
