It’s done

They couldn’t even vest our invested RSU’s?!!! They’re just converted to Amgen stock with the same vesting schedule. Then our takeover severance package is total crap.

When Amgen bought otezla from Celgene the reps got hooked up!! All stock vested and it went through the roof. They got retention bonus, AND sign on bonus at Amgen and more Amgen stock then current employees ever got. Horizon needs to fight for us

Its done...the fight is over. That would all have already been negotiated. Amgen would have no reason to pay a retention bonus since unvested RSU stay on the same vesting schedule. We might get a little more since not everything can be disclosed but don't expect much

a little bit different scenario since BMS bought Celgene and then had to sell off Otezla. The celgene stock went up on the buyout then the product and reps were sold off.

That said, I can’t believe there isn’t a change of control provision for RSUs.

Merry Christmas to the Walbert’s. Coal for the rest of us.

But he was adamant about having the NSM or there was no deal.

Also, I’m pretty sure that Chemocentryx folks got paid out on all of their stock, too. That is the norm. We just got screwed.

OBU folks, we stand a chance. The Rheum team, dust of resumes. The good news is 2023 looks to be a great year for Pharma. The only industry right now that looks promising.

OBU will be fine. 100%.

Rheum/Neph is in for a shock. Even if you make it, you will leave because still too many Enbrel types there who think a $25k yearly bonus is great. Total activity fakers. Enter calls on everyone to make numbers look good and spend lots of energy trying to game their Atlas system.

Dermatolgy - don't think you guys have that. This is the division you want to be in. They treat them like adults and pay them still to go grow business.

Primary Care - dumbed down rheumatology people who also game the alignment system.

There is also a KAM group that is just lazy, old people unable to get a promotion to DM.

Finally, they have some allergy/pulmonary team they added since I left that sells their asthma drug. Don't know much about them.

Regardless, only Sanofi give worse equity awards and that's because they give zero.

I tend to agree that the the Krystexxa team is the most vulnerable. I really don’t see how Amgen will justify keeping two separate teams, especially 2 sets of management. The ABDs only manage 6 or 7 reps (at least on neph). Lots of room to condense in the GBU.

Amgen has an eye injection, so I’m not sure why you think Tepezza sales force is 100% safe.

Well one because Tepzza isn't an in office injection its much more complicated to get patients from the office to the infusion chair. I know your initial reaction will be its the same or its no big deal- but in reality it is. And those that have done the job know this. A lot more pull through and a lot more hand holding. Just facts.

Well if its between Horizon and the rejects who went to Chemocentryx I think Horizon employees will win out in an interview.

Deerfield personnel best be interviewing with other companies NOW. Amgen will keep very little, if any, of HQ staff. A number of HZ HQ folks are ex-Abbott/Abbvie. It will be interesting to see how they beg for their old jobs. Karma baby.
