It was a good run.

I think it was obvious from the start that this company would be short term at best for hcv. It was either going to be purchased or limited if the studies were not stellar. The later seems to be occurring. Another company would not purchase Vertex now. They will just plug along with their other drugs until one of these drugs become co-promoted etc. by another company.

Management f'd up the studies.

Was there an announcement re upcoming layoffs? Work on HCV side but in home office - no visibility to any layoff discussions. In fact, my mgmt acts like all is well - which worries me even more!

I am not MGNT but have friend who is in inside. Trust me all is well with everything except the virology department. There is talk of selling virology patents to a Russian company if 135 goes against us. Everything else is firing on all cylinders with the exception of needing more cash to push these projects to completion. WE DO NOT WANT TO SELL THE COMPANY. Let me repeat that, WE DO NOT WANT TO SELL THE COMPANY. that's all I have for now.

You do not want to sell the company...because YOU CAN'T. Nobody would buy VRTX. WAY over valued and the stock only stands to drop further the closer we get to Dec. 8.

Virology at VRTX is the walking dead.

Virology I would agree with, EVERYTHING else: NO WAY!!!! Yes, JNJ is eyeing us like you would not believe. They are just waiting till our market cap keeps dropping enough to make it palatable. It will get there. Rumor has it that 135 will not recover. They have found additional problems that have not been reported yet. Our other investigational products will probably be the ones keeping JNJ afloat in days to come, trust me on that one!!!!
