Whatever happened to iTind? I haven’t seen it around at all and haven’t seen urologists doing it. Heard the reps that sell it can’t even sell it. Did Olympus scrap it already? Another failure?

Did they really rename it? Spoke to a few urologists regarding it a few months back, and they said it didn’t work, and they don’t pay a surgeon fee. There’s no money in it for them. I’m at a competitive company that told us not to worry about it. If Urolift doesn’t work well with staples, how would that work with nothing?
I believe iTind is pretty much done. Haven’t seen or heard of anyone doing it. Asked my counterparts across the country, and they don’t have doctors doing it. Another rep at Olympus told me they only have done $1-$2 Million in sales after being out 5 years. Think they spent over $200 Million for it so it is probably dead. Nothing to worry about for all competitors out there. Was a good concept that Olympus couldn’t execute on. Anyone out there see it being done?
