For the genius above who can't even properly format a post, I just got here a year ago. Not everyone made money on the buyout, in fact almost no one left here did.

And shoes have soles. Will this layoff be good for my shoes?? Will I be walking less?

Looks like management here needs a complete flush after weeks/months of horrible sales numbers. The customers at the centers are barely getting called on by the account managers and community facing team is fantastic group with great culture but gets the downstream blame for everything that goes wrong in accounts they don't even have the responsibility for. It's a wild disconnect of huge proportions.

Our head of commercial is more focused on places like Saudi Arabia where they treat ten patients a year and the USA where we treat 10 a day. Never seen anything like it in over 10 years of oncology.
 


Arrogance and entitlement on the ctam side is the reason for the decline. The are above taking in food and coffee to the accounts and complain why they have no access, but that comes down from the ERD and Rads. Dave tried to blame Policy which again is a failure to call out we are losing to Breyanzi and outpatient.

Best job I ever had. I was going to retire, but Kite is so easy and we are completely protected because we know things.

I have 1-2 zooms a week and send 3-4 emails to customers.

I do zero snacks, lunches, no dinners, and rarely do a conference or a display.

I spend no money on access and make 300K + a year. Literally nothing.
I drive less than 500 miles a month for work. I don't even try to look busy.

After the reorg, none of this will change either!

PS-I will outlast senior leadership for the next few years as sales continue to drop. I will be here forever.

Clearly you don't know the biologics industry. Over hire field sales. Have unrealistic expectations.. then down size ie right size. That story is told over and over.
Or be a typical California Kite rep and fuck your married coworker for a job.

Poster is spot on, a purge will bring humility on the arrogance and entitlement mind set. Enterprise Rent a Car is hiring and a great place to relearn customer service skills long abandoned. ERD and Rads since Kristi’s departure have forgotten the golden rule.

Fierce biotech has a really great biotech layoff tracker. Per their website: "Gilead Sciences, 42 staff cutbacks in Foster City. The job cuts were expected to begin around Dec. 15 and be complete by March 15, 2024."

In passing in FC I've also heard that by the end of 2023 there will have been a 5% total workforce reduction.....Right before it's time to give out bonuses.

Kite now has such short term goals and visions. This move is horrible for patients and customers. Without a strong forward facing team, Kite CAR-T with wither and die like Novartis. Any idiot can see that. I wonder how many consultants it will take for the boys club to figure this out?

This place is a leadership black hole where everyone is fighting for their mediocre big pharm. oncology job. This place is done. Gilead is no longer a growth company. Kite science is awesome, Home office people are some of the worst I have ever seen.
 




I should have known when I started to turn back immediately. The training was beyond terrible and no one knew how to do anything . Just a lot of wasted effort and a big hole in my resume.

The least patient centric org. I have ever worked for.
 


Right, it was so easy to recognize the ERD in east had zero relationships with any of the top physicians. He wouldn't even visit with accounts yet he was traveling all the time.
 


Heard through the grapevine today that HA is out as ED. He's terrible anyway so no one cares.

Also, James is getting hairplugs for the NSM to alleviate the helmet head comb over. More to come on that.

This is every "Account Manager" that works at Gilead. Entitled as hell and got the job through networking internally, not by skill and knowledge. That's how it works at Gilead.

Doctors don't waste time with people who have nothing to say. A total blowhard.

Amazing that he is a field leader. Has the guy ever said anything honest in his entire life other than "Pass the Pie"?
