Lab Sales Over

No. You can still make money in lab sales and I'm always amazed at the new strategies for differentiation. For instance it used to be if you were a shell lab you didn't want to advertise that fact. But take Precipio Diagnostics who proudly advertise the fact that even though they market themselves as a hemepath lab they have no hemepaths and use Yale. As if Yale was the best hehehehehe.

All the reps on our sales team are making six figures, top performs are in low to high 200's. Still have opportunities to make money and have a good work life balance. Not nearly as sexy as other medical sales jobs, but as long as you work for a reputable lab you get to feel good about helping patients.

6 years later and lab sales are demonstrably not “over”. My 2024 W2 had 6 figures and started with a 4. Diagnostics are in fact here to stay.
Your are either selling toxicology for a shady lab or molecular testing. Either way, just wait for the audits to hit the lab you work for. These audits will be epic and include criminal charges!

This isn’t real. Lab reps are a joke , they are like mortgage brokers in early 2000s. All shady owners that find people to push a service for them by saying we don’t go to collections ignore bills blah blah. There is no skill in being a lab rep. No real medical company will hire a lab rep. Sure you can make low 6 figures. The only lab reps making over 200k are the ones that have a book from years ago. New reps are no where near. Word of advice, get out now so you can get a real job and not listen to the owners reps koolaid speech.

Yay for fraudulent ways! We love it.
Ammon settled with NJ for false billing. This time was only about $12,000 but how much does Ammon have to pay back before NJ disqualifies them from billing Medicaid? They paid back 3 audits, were investigated by US DHS for COVID issues and supposedly had an IRS investigation about the Ammon Foundation. When is enough enough? Is Ammon cooperating against other labs to avoid disbarment?

Another payback by Ammon? Rumor is they paid back money to Massachusetts Medicaid and were forced out of the State. It is amazing this family is allowed to still operate a lab! As Trump would say "lock 'em up!"

EH has been desperate to get Ammon back on top, meanwhile the employees foolishly tried to defend this atrocious company.

Get them back on top? They are back on top. Growth is huge, adding more employees every day and the AI we have is amazing! We will be the last small lab standing and make a killing selling to one of the big 3. Ammon rules!

*Yawn* why is it always that Ammon has to defend itself?

Sarcasm we hope, but there’s a lot of delulu out here. Back on top the bandwagon of jokes I guess.
Ammon needs to defend themselves. Let's see, what has Ammon done in the past to deserve scrutiny? Ammon Foundation kickback scheme, thrown our of Mass Medicaid/forced to close lab in Mass & federal investigation of their dealings in Mass (not sure of outcome, but could be ongoing), 3 paybacks to NJ Medicaid, hiring shady reps from TT, US HHS filed bankruptcy claim against Ammon, and the list goes on. Ammon & the Haupts should have been thrown out of Medicare and Medicaid for the Ammon Foundation and other things they have done. Remember there were rumors of cash payoffs by Ammon going back to their start in 1998! I I understand labs get audited and are hit with paybacks, but it seems Ammon gets hit more than other labs. If you want to defend them, go ahead, but I think everyone in the lab community knows Ammon is a shady company at best.

They defend themselves poorly, and it’s always employees trying to tell everyone they’re worthy.

Those TT employees were affiliated with Ammon prior to their TT days.

Did they not have an issue with the Covid relief grants they were given? Rumor had it that it wasn’t given to employees, so shouldn’t the state have investigated this.
