Layoff Procedure?

Will it be a conf call or field mtg?

Reps were asked to meet a member of management at a hotel at the end of the day after receiving a phone call and have also had a stay at home day waiting by the phone. If this is truly to be a larger scale might be a conf call? Thoughts?

Initially we heard 3rd wk in Jan (next week)...and then Jan 12? Anyone hear anything different?
 
Feb 1st is a Tuesday. That's Abbott's favorite day to leave the infamous voice mail. It's also the day Solvay is no longer safe from Abbott's cheap severance package instead of the one Solvay negotiated for them. I call Feb 1st as the day.
 
Solvay here....the package isn't that much better than Abbott's.....only 1 more week/year. If they were worried about that, they could've saved money by laying us off before Jan 1st. That 1 week doesn't factor in....wish it were more though.
 
Simply put, this site sucks. Everyone who posts crap on here has no clue. Sure, everyone has an opinion, but I love reading the " it's going down this week " and it's happening on this date. bla bla bla. 35000 people have read the thread that has 200 useless opinions titled Jan 12, 2011 is the date. What a F'in joke. F you, F this site, and go out and do your F'in job. F'in children.

Here's a tip...Don't take what is said on this site seriously. That way you won't be let down or so pissed off next time your read something on here! Better yet, just stay off the site and seek anger management counseling.

Scoop.....it is coming next week, no stay home and wait for call, will be phone, or face to face from a live person. Abbott protected, contract on thin ice. Possible some contract retained.
 
Some NQ will have to be retained or Abbott will pay a monster fine for ending contract early without 90 days notice. Th contract is written through April so it doesnt make any sense to end it early since we are 90 days out. Also, all NQ layoffs are via con call. This one wouldn't be any different. The news comes from JC and KH not field managers. This info is false. If there are any face to face that will be Abbott folks. Contract has been on thin ice since the beginning so this is not even news. Try again.
 
Last November contract was given 90 day status, they dont tell contract or abbott employees, that is why some were rolled. Certriad death was know in October. Sales operations are frozen as of today everything is on hold AP lady here
