Layoffs at the end of the year

Stock is down, 40% off the high. Indications aren’t going to make up for efficacy vs competition, rare disease will not make up for sales disappointments….ever

We have people tripping over each other, most people are just putting in ghost calls, because they have nothing to do.

Eco system rep is the model of 2000, we need 750-1000 reps in the entire country.

Rare disease job best in the company…..no accountability whatsoever. All empires must fall.

There is a guy in NJ that takes atleast 12 weeks off a year. I am sure there are many others. Just goes to show you that sales has way too many people.

Stockholders should be in the know.

i hear a lot of reps at nni saying this, frequently. but our DBMs and RBDs tell us to be quiet. less reps mean less managers means less regional directors and so forth. i know a bunch of reps who would prefer less of us and fewer managers to assign us busywork so we can just go do our jobs and not fall all over every counterpart and overlay in the field.

With all the systems we have in place, you would think sales operations sees that the reps are seeing the same doctors every week, especially when their managers are with them

30% field sales reduction is the number being discussed. It should come as no surprise to any of us who’ve been here for awhile. When 40% of the targets are driving 95% of the business, it doesn’t take a DOGE efficiency expert to predict what comes next.

How is that ECO region doing?

These managers are a joke. They act holier than thou when everyone knows that these drugs sell themselves. Get over yourselves.

well novo is telling investors to expect TRx to go up and investors are lapping it up so yes you better sell more
I gotta give it to Eli Lilly. They have extended all their vials to include all doses. They lowered the price & have the ability to process cash prescriptions through Lillydirect which has improved access.. They have developed creative strategies to solve access problems.

Meanwhile, Novo is stuck on DEI&B, woke policies and expanding an already fattened sales force.. the obesity sales force is barely getting a significant amount of samples mid-March.

Too bad Novo has lacked the creativity and business acumen to battle Lilly. They are losing at every turn. It’s kinda sad to see this ship sink.

You are correct here. I don’t believe it’s a big secret. Inflation act be coming and Novo Nordisk is trying to squeeze every penny they can make. I don’t think it’s about discounts or rebates. Those cost money. Lilly took the diabetes and obesity market over the past six months.
Are they really expecting to us to win with no advantage other than legacy?

I have thousands of Lilly vials in my territory and once compounded Semaglutide Is done, we will hand the rest of the obesity market over to Lilly. No strategy from Novo.

The NNI senior leadership team has been asleep at the wheel for 2yrs now. Counting their money and pretending everything was great instead of planning for the inevitable. And, the area VPs and RBDs, with their yes mentality, told them what they wanted to hear. Meanwhile, Lilly has been planning, strategizing a coup. The entire leadership team that allowed this should be replaced. Hey Dave!! Replace the ones who failed to plan. Come up with a national strategy that addresses the issues at hand, not simply tell sales they have to do better. With what tools? Um, hello, Lilly has an FDA superiority claim!! Give the sales force something to go on. The CKD indication will end up like the CV indication….. a nice to know.

A-GREED! Top brass has been out of touch for years. Remember that they didn’t tell the sales force about the Ozempic supply shortage until 6 months after they reported it to the FDA?!! Vince Lamana slipped on a call and said it. Transparency? They lied to sales consistently during the sema shortage! And, they were also consistent about giving quotas far above what they could even manufacture. Lovely, so proud, and as TJ says, “Novo always does the right thing!”

While I agree with some of this, it’s ridiculous to say you can’t compete unless you’re best in class. We’ve all sold drugs that are not great. Game changer drugs pretty much sell themselves. We got just as lazy as a sales force the last few years with a drug that was selling itself. Lilly has a best in class drug, but they’re also hustling and innovating, which is bringing about Ozempic’s demise that much sooner.

I believe the other poster wasn't implying about best in class sales. The reference was to strategic planning and acknowledging the leadership
Team hasn’t arrived to the current state of things. OR they won’t acknowledge it to the sales teams because they don’t wont to be viewed as being negative, which is quite the handicap at NNI these past years. Let’s just wait for shit to hit the fan and then ultimately the Danes will be forced to send a Dane over to run things. In second thought, that’s a positive outcome!!!

Agree with sending a Dane to run the US for the next few years. And as far as layoffs? Please start with the DE team. If we have to listen about how great they are on another call I’m gonna puke. Not even sure if I have one near me. Don’t hear from them unless “collaboration” has been assigned to them. No one can measure their impact. Etc, etc. 3 diabetes reps I. One territory and 2 obesity reps? One endo rep? Damn, 6 people in those zip codes? Really? That’s a lot of layers… does t seem efficient to me, but I’m sure TJ knows what she’s doing!! She runs the diabetes TA!!!!
