Life after layoff

Bayer,
Thank you for making the decision to cut me. Since there all doors and windows have opened for me. I’ve been promoted into a job minutes after your decision to cut me, so I’ve been able to save tons of money that I would not have been able to have save here. I’ve been given lots of stock options that are value 5x the value of yours. I’ve received a raise that is far greater than any raise you could offer or have within my years of employment. Most importantly I’ve landed in a company with a better culture where I don’t constantly live in fear of losing my job, get more and more responsibility with no additional pay benefit and have people that I work with now whom I trust and want me to succeed.
Although I’m gone I often think of Bayer and what it used to be and how people there were not the sad shell of a version that exists today. So I know you have made lots of bad decisions and continue to do so but I wanted to say- I appreciate you! And thankful that you have taught me a lot about what my value is and what I deserve.

clearly you are exaggerating otherwise you would have moved on and not cared. Since you're back here just to do a dig at Bayer, that means you're not in a better job... it's more of the same ish different day situation :D

Prostitution is illegal! Find yourself a respectable position once and for all.

Or maybe they are letting Bayer know that they are not mad at them and that this layoff set them on a better path. Perhaps in the wake of all the bullshit they are simply saying thank you and I am doing well. Jeez I love those on here who clearly made
Out just find in this bullshit shake out come on here to try to decent this dumpster fire we are in. The negativity from everyone including our fellow current employees is so sad and disgusting. Just be happy that people have moved on and are doing better than this shit hole.

Nah Ima 100% not exaggerating but say what you want. I just really get off on reading all the drama on cafe Pharma. It’s kind of like a soap opera or reality Tv. Maybe like a drug I am addicted to. I mean nothing better than hearing all the stupid and bad decisions being made. The drama and seeing it all unfold. It’s awesome.
You can be happy and very satisfied somewhere else but there is something so special coming here to hear about all the shit happening… you’d do it too so stop judging.

Exaggerating? I mean there were 50 people who went to Novartis driving their Tesla and getting raises and more stock. Don’t be a fool there were many people laid off who had stuff lined up that are far better than here. So don’t think that coming in here is because they are envious of our situation. Wake up Bayer sucks I’m happy for those that got out.

Amazing- I could not agree with you more. Same sentiments I would say to Bayer as well!

I'm glad you got your job at Wendy's

Bayer,

My life is so good now that I'm gone that I just can't keep myself from thinking about you. You're the ex that got away. I miss you so much I will keep coming here for the "gossip."

Nice try :p

I’m sure they’re just salty because Bayer has not been the best through these restructures.. they have lied, misled and treated many people unkind so pardon if they want to come on here and continue to be spiteful. I know I would.

Do you typically begin every sentence with “I mean...”? Now, who’s the “unintelligent” one? So millennial.

Behind every layoff is a person, a family, a mortgage, a gas tank that needs filled and a table that needs food. It's not enough to ask "how can I help?" YOU already know the answer. Make the introductions for those being laid off . Write a recommendation on their profile without being asked. There is so much leadership here that is not doing this and this not only makes them look bad is shows their true colors. How to treat people even when they are on the out shows a sign of your true character. Even as much as saying congrats or showing Ming your happiness when they land a new gig goes a LONG way. Wake up leaders you can do better for us.

They’re likely not reaching out because of all the guilt they hold for their lack of support for you and their bullying they did before you were laid off. Sacrifice you for themselves. That’s why they’re hiding they’re ashamed
