Management

Middle management comes up with the most idiotic ideas ever. I had to come to the WOC the other day and it’s yellow brick road and blue outlines everywhere! They waste more money on unnecessary stuff than any company I know of.... Hopefully Stryker will laugh at it when they start moving in

I have to admit, it's kinda nice for us to have a little organization. I like not having to look for the things I need to do my job.

But speaking of management, there is one toxic leader.
It's painfully obvious of the contempt that Doyle has for the Arlington workers. He thinks we're lazy and overpaid. He tells us we make too much money in plant meetings and to our faces on the floor. He's also insinuated that Stryker is going to shut us down because we make too much and the WTR survey results are low. That's a great way to build up morale!
I'll say this, I'll go up against any of your precious Irish machinists any day of the week.

I have worked with multiple plants at multiple companies. I have never seen a lack of motivation or desire to succeed like I have at Wright’s Arlington manufacturing facility. This is not just Mark’s opinion. This is the entire company’s.

Multiple plants at multiple companies......why can't you keep a job?

Most companies have many plants. I said I worked with them, not at them. I’m in my 26th year of my career. I have seen my fair share of manufacturing facilities. Both world class and less than.

Arlington facility is comparatively mediocre. The people who work there are bottom of the barrel. No desire to even be mediocre workers, much less go above and beyond, ever. If you disagree, please provide an example. I would love to hear.

Don’t need to go heeled to get the bulge on a dub like you.

Wow.
I usually just read these posts for entertainment but I can't let this one go by without commenting.
I've worked at Wright for over 30 years and I can tell you there is nothing mediocre about the employees.
If you need examples of the employees going above and beyond then it's obvious you haven't been with the company long and what little time you have, you've made no effort to interact with the Arlington employees.
I suppose you spend most of your time at Cherry Road and only come to Arlington when it's necessary.
And that's ok. It's easy to pass judgement on folks you know nothing about nor have any interest in.
Don't worry about us, we'll be fine. We were here a long time before you and I suspect we'll be here a long time after you're gone.
God bless & we'll pray for you.

Cheery Road isn’t any better. I have seen the difference you haven’t because you are accustomed to what you’ve surrounded yourself with for 30 years. Tornier only thing keeping you afloat

I'm afraid you see what you want to see....but that's ok.

Tornier isn't keeping anything afloat....it doesn't exist. But clinging on to that identity sums up alot of what's wrong with the company.
But all that will be fixed soon.
