Managers at Cook

Msnagers at Cook Medical have no formal training, can be micro-managers and unprofessional at times.
I guess it's safe to say "anyone can be a manager here" which is very shocking and sad
One would think Cook would spend more time and money on a solid management training program
My manager for example wants to get hands on everything and nags about every little thing. Let's get something straight here "managers are suppose to lead and develop sales reps not nag and micro manage"
I hope this post is eye opening to corporate to get something going.
It's not worth putting up with some managers especially the way we get paid

I agree with you 100%, but management/corporate will do absolutely nothing. When 99% of reps leave, they tell HR in their exit interview that they want more money and better managers. Nothing has been done in years!

That's really sad! There are so many solid management programs out there we can all benefit from at Cook. It's only going to make us better.

The managers at Cook are untrained ass kissers that just say yes to upper management. Most have inferiority complexes and treat their reps like garbage. They will never leave the company and usually blame all the turnover on everybody else but themselves. No RM's were ever managers prior to coming to Cook. If they were, then they were most likely fired for being awful and went to Cook cause they had no other options.

Not only is this true but upper management consists mainly of untrained ass kissers. That's the way that Bill Cook wanted it. Look at Kem. He was a music teacher with no medical and no real managerial experience. Bill had no experience in the industry. Most of them never worked anywhere else and have no idea what the outside world is like. This includes Carl whose dad got him a job with one his companies out of college. Those who did came from outside the medical industry. They are incapable of anything other than doing what they have always done.
