Many have been ripped off by this company and I figured some folks may want to know the details on Medreps.com. They are owned by HealthcareJobBoards.com and are rumored to have several FTC complaints lodged against them for fraud. Supposedly they are also under investigation by few state law enforcement agencies and credit card companies for fraud. As most of you know, there is little contact information anywhere on their sites, so I researched and found the following:

Healthcare Job Boards
2655 Northwinds Parkway
Alpharetta, GA 30009
United States

(866) 619-1630

This company will charge your credit card long after you cancel your membership, and will ruin your credit. Please avoid them like the plague and try other reputable job sites like Monster if necessary.

I had no problem with the site when I cancelled my membership. How can they "ruin your credit"???? A simple call to your credit card company and the charges will be dropped, especially if it's American Express.

Why would anyone be so stupid as to give your credit card number to a "job board"? That's just dumb. There are tons of job boards out there that are free - why would you pay for something like that unless you had a guaranteed job in writing. I've got some swamp water in Florida to sell you....

Wrong. I paid with AMEX, and these turds fought me. The issue is with the cancellation of contract language, and since they do not post a physical street address,\ there was no way to send a certifies copy of my intent to cancel. They simply denied that they received the requests and AMEX backed them up.

The best way to avoid this problem is to avoid them like the plague in the first place.

Again - why would ANYONE give their credit card to a company that does not have a physical street address? Think people, THINK!!!

All you have to do is cancel your credit card. Doesn't matter if Amex won't help you. Stop doing business with both companies. That's an easy fix. Stop supplying a valid credit card and there is nothing to charge. I personally have used them off and on over the last 3 years and have never had an issue when I cancelled my account. It was easy.

Holy shit guys....really?

Here's a novel idea. READ their "terms of policy", cancel your membership w/in 30 days of term expiration, and save the "cancellation confirmation" sent by Medreps.

Yes...it's that easy. Requires a little work, which can be tricky for pharma reps, but I assure you it'll be okay in the end.
