Merit is back

The right people can now get promoted. This will also enhance diversity because the right people in the right position will make better hiring decisions. No more JV players getting bumped up because they checked a box. Looking forward to it but will take a while to produce results

Here's the interesting thing about what we just had to witness and endure over the last 4 years... a woman doesn't want a man pretending to be a woman jumping into a pool and beating them; however, a woman has no problem joining the armed forces and fighting alongside a man.

If you're a man, or a woman, on the battlefield where you are outnumbered 3 to 2 (your enemies are three men), and it's hand to hand combat, are you going to want to fight them alongside another man or woman?

This question is directed at the people who were pissed that a man pretending to be a woman competed against other women and beat them in swimming.

I’m BUTCH baby! Saddle

can you cite one example of a person born a women and now wants to be a man and now competes against the men on the high school track team and now beats the men?
And there you have it.

Wait until you see how they define “merit”. It doesn’t mean the same thing to PFE as it does to you.

Merit is a fungible term to Pfizer. For the rank and file, it is your share of 3% and being subjected to some contrived panel interview for new opportunities.

For Bourla, it’s a 14% increase in total pay. His bonus is almost double the target and closer to the max than to target.

Here’s a question that reflects the “merit” of the largess awarded to AB: would you be surprised to get an email that Bourla is tossed out? Or would you be excited about a new direction for the company?

for me, he has produced no energy and no inspiration among employees or investors. There is no “merit” for large paydays or even keeping him around

A few months back, I interviewed for my boss’s old job (he left the company). It was a panel interview of three and two of the panelists had more than one diversity boxes checked off.
The obvious bias against me W/F was palpable. The looks among the two and aggressive follow up questions were telling signs that I had no chance. I got no follow up and was told I didn’t advance on the same day as my new boss was announced.
He does check off at least one diversity box but is clearly foundering in the new job. One of the panelist has asked me to help him learn the role (he moved from a different work area and doesn’t seem to know this functional area). It’s a hard spot because I felt the disregard in the interview and now I am asked to mentor my boss who will ostensibly write my review!?!
