I watched several men at this company make disparing remarks about the woman who filed gender lawsuits...saying they were lying, silly or dumb. What sucks is it’s happened to me at this company more than once. A guy invited me back to their room and was aggressive about it, offered gifts in exchange for lewd acts, etc. If you stand up and say this is wrong people will say you asked for it, you must have been flirting in the bar etc (which was not the case). Also how could you ever keep working here because then you are branded as “that girl” and your done (this person is one level above me). HR doesn’t even call back about the small stuff and I don’t think they have the backbone to help me. It’s just so frustrating and I hate myself for letting people treat me like this here.

instead of complaining what people say at a bar, walk the hell away. Unless he was holding you there would be no reason to stay there and listen. Crying wolf over words will get you nowhere. Woman say some pretty shitty and offensive things at meetings when they drink too much also. Unless your getting grabbed or hit on by AK deal with it or stay out of the bar. #BigDummy

Just to be clear only if the VP grabs or hits you should either a man or woman feel uncomfortable at work when someone is being inappropriate?

i am a 40ish year old woman and if you are at a bar drinking you should not be offended by words. Unless it's a superior, who cares. People say dumb things when they are drinking that they would never say when sober. If things are said at the office or on a sales call for example, that is a different story. If comments people might make while drinking at a bar offend you, you should avoid bars, sit in a corner alone or just grow up. Then again, you may just be a snow flake looking for a lawsuit which many people seem to be looking to do these days.
 
I think there is some back lash going on with some people finding any behavior offensive. We now live in such a politically correct arena with a number of "snowflakes" being offended by anything that someone says. The unfortunate thing about this is that it makes it harder for people with legitimate grievances to get the attention and respect their situation deserves.

Wow! I wouldn’t categorize you as strong for calling a woman or any person an idiot for an autocorrect mistake. That’s never happened to you? An autocorrect mistake? The original poster said the person was a level above them. So according to you that doesn’t count then either eh? To be upset about it and that indivdual shouldnt hang out in a bar or talk to friends because it’s her problem? It has to be in a sober setting with a direct manager. Interesting...this is quite the education. Of course you probably thought law school or just a general knowledge of employee relations was too beneath you what with your full time job of policing autocorrect.

I highly doubt your a woman and I also highly doubt your anywhere near 40. I do believe you are from the South though...hope that helps!

It was obvious from the beginning that you are an angry, bitter, liberal Snowflake that is blaming men for your miserable life. I am from the South and very proud of it. When you are down South next week make sure to stay away from the bar.

I usually avoid people with bad breath, rotting teeth and minimal intelligence so we should be good. Try to lay off the booze a little honey since you can barely squeeze into your black pants. That extra layer of lipstick doesn’t distract from how fat you are much less your 80s hair do.
