Michael Neal Cornell 54, of Delaware died unexpectedly on April 26, 2010 at his home in Columbia, Md.
He was born on July 7, 1955 in Johnstown. He graduated from Rutherford Hayes High School and Clemson University where he played football for the Tigers. Mike was an immunology account specialist in gastroenterology for Centocor, a division of Johnson & Johnson. He worked to help treat people with Crohn’s disease.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Joan Cornell; sisters, Anita (Dick) Shively, Rebecca (Richard) Ambrose; Stephanie (David) Cozzarelli; a brother, Barney Cornell; nieces, Lindsay Shively and Lauren and Andrea Cozzarelli; nephews, Scott Shively and Nathan and Mathieu Cornell and many good friends.
A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 8, at the Delaware First Presbyterian Church, 73 W. Winter St., with the Rev. Dr. Philip Ferguson officiating.
