The Rethuglicans and most people do not understand DEI in higher education. DEI in higher education makes sure that disabled, foreign, gay, trans, and others students have the opportunity and tools (elevators, housing, student centers and assistance) to attend college there. It is NOT affirmative action. It does not favor black students or hispanic students over anyone else. I wrote many a paper exploring DEI and its functions. People speak of the "dumbing down" of America....it has already happened. They villainize and demonize things like DEI, lifesaving vaccines, and make stories up about late-term abortions. We are officially dumb. Thanks, Trump.

You clearly haven't sat through many corporate DEI indoctrination programs. They are all about anti-racism, which means dividing people up into the oppressed (certain specific POC; it excluded Asians and Jews), and the oppressors (white colonialism and the USA). It is literally anti-American, because it transforms America into an oppressor.

The last thing it does is actually foster diversity, in particular diversity of thought beyond progressive rhetoric, or the inclusion of anyone who isn't "oppressed". It is essentially POC virtue signaling and victimization.

Academia has bastardized DEI because they don't actually work or live in reality. It is a self-fulfilling theory and lacks academic integrity. They live in their own minds. They don't even realize that privileged white women are the only ones truly benefiting from their "DEI" studies and papers. They don't even realize that in crapping on America they embolden our enemies to indoctrinate people into supporting jihadist terrorist organizations like Hamas. They have even conned some people into thinking China is actually a better place. It is bizzaro world, where biological males can dominate sports for biological females, but even though there is apparently no difference between genders physically (cough cough), no biological female who transitioned to male has yet to dominate a mens sport or track meet. I wonder why???...

I am a lawyer who used to represent post-secondary accrediting institions and litigated DOE regulations. I can tell you the DEI stuff is totally fluff. Not only does it lack academic integrity, it has nothing to do with the underlying education or degree purposes, and clearly furthers political agendas. And many of the schools currently being investigated for rampant antisemitism (which is happening in plain sight for all to see with their own eyes), were also "leaders" in the DEI fields, and in their DEI glee, they imported Qatari and Chinese money and students, and rabid antisemitic Islamist "professors" who fed everyone anti-American dogma and propaganda, and they wove it into their curricula and "studies". Including completely BS theories and false history.

You may think you know a lot, but you really know very little and in your hubris you assume the crap you read is worth anything.

Why do you magats obsess over the trans thing. Elections run on negating less than 1% of the population. Men are losing in this society since they are a bunch of baby whiners who can’t get it up.

Admittedly, my view and understanding of DEI is within higher education. Seems DEI in higher ed is what DJT and crew want to go after. Instead of looking like they are doing something meaningful, they come off as buffoons and racist homophobes.
