since 1988 the sales engines of BD and Thinprep have forced the labs by default with various city ,sate and federal agencies to use these irregular methods. ie.,blood is specimen,lubricants,mucus and anyting that affects the process in LBC. The cytotechs have been pawns in keeping up this technology when the only thing that was reviewed at the FDA was the components that the company gave which was ,in conjunction with a cytotechnologist this process will do the following. yes cytotechs we made our bed and we must sleep in it now.

as far as non gyn cytology. again another "horror".
