We knew this was coming when Tom Appio showed the profitability of each product. When xifaxan is 90%, relistor is like 7%, and Tulance 1%(my numbers may be off)… you had to wonder why excelsa makes any sense

And how in the world did it suddenly become not profitable? If that was the case why did they buy it ? It's sad that reps are paying for mistakes someone else made. Whats next? All we can do is sell the products that they give us and meet growth expectations. We can't control pricing.
 
The Trulance team is all but gone now. Once a thriving brand it was totally ignored by upper management. Two layoffs in less than 6 months. Down to a handful of reps now selling relistor. Rumor has it that primary care will be gone in December. The remaining handful of trulance reps will be gone at that time. Good ole Tom must have developed some sort of China hate for Trulance. Just a year plus ago JC was bragging on us every chance he had. I look around and all my friends are gone. Sure feels lonely and sad. I know my days are numbered but sticking around for the severance. I know several folks that want a package.

Another dump fucking shithole filled with laughing stocks.
 
More people are leaving. Some are lucky enough to get a package. I know of 3 that will be gone in 30 days. Multiply that by those outside my circle of friends. This company is run by a bunch of idiots. Loved the email that went out early. How gets the blame for that? How lean can this company get. Just wait and see. Outside of the primary care cuts, what knee jerk cuts will be next? we are not done yet.
 
Salix will be very lean by the time this is done. The remaining towers will carry a P3 and have high decile PC providers added to our call deck. I have had tertiary products a few times in my career. Guess i will do it again unless a good gut opportunity comes up. Wrap your minds around because it’s happening.
 
We are only visitors in this strange land. We knew this was coming. Was this planned or a knee jerk reaction from ole Tom. Knee jerk is the correct answer. Why two layoffs so close to each other? Also wasted time out of the field on two bag mix changes. The big restructure is right around the corner. I have never seen layoffs this close to each other. If you loaned JC any money, collect it now. I wish I could have gotten a package. Tons of jobs out there. Look for bankruptcy or cheap sell off in Q 1. if it’s bankruptcy no severance. Sad what Tom has done to Salix. He will get a nice payout and head back to China.

The reason the double lay off is that we brought in Aimee and she is making these decisions now. She wasn’t here for the last layoff. Salix has had too many reps ever since Mark McKenna. Even though we don’t like it, it’s long over due
