More Quality Problems at Hospira

CSL Biotherapies and Hospira are both separately recalling drugs due to contamination and syringe overfilling respectively.

Boy, the FDA really got through to these guys about quality. Apparently it still ranks below corporate officer bonuses and stock options.

Don't worry bud. Once Visag India plant is ready HSP will avoid a significant amount of the FDA scrutiny it currently faces. It will be ten years before that joint is inspected! Your grandma may die when she gets rat poison instead of the drugs she needs but it should help the stock options crowd enormously.

it is sad that a company of ANY kind would put profits and the stock option crowd above the health of the public or even its own employees. sure OTHER companies do it but why should this company follow. why can't they be the leader that they claim to be. it is evident that with all the issues that have and will occur, that their message is not true. the hiring of high level office people will not correct the major problems..

Inside the brain of a handsome american baby boomer grey-haired C-suiter:

...Hey, everybody is doing it. Why can't we?

...Hey, everybody is doing it. If we don't we will be left behind.

...If I don't follow the script from the management consultants despite that nagging little voice in my head then they will certainly find somebody who will. The folks in my U.S. Plants will be as good as gone then anyways. Why not hold my nose and go along with it. I worked hard to get my turn at the trough-I deserve the options payouts that will follow.

Obviously both are important.

Obviously both are important.

I wrote the initial comment and I totally agree with you. Both are important and we need to manage and treat each area that way. We are too siloed and only focus on our piece of the customer--- forgetting that we all have to work in concert to truely meet the customers need.

We in the plant feel for what you all are facing out in the field, but do you feel for what we are facing with all the scruitny (sp) and people being let go - not knowing who might be next - it is easiest to let the lower rank take the fall.

Actually we don't get much info on what is going on inside the plants other than we can't get what the customer needs. This kind of info is very valuable, as to those being let go, most of us in the field think that upper level management have been using you guys as scape goats to deflect attention away from themselves. The truth as we see it is that "Fuel" or something like it cut budgets to the point where something had to give and Rocky Mt is a good example. If they don't give you any money to work with how can you put out a good product. But look at the bright side with the cost cutting the stock price went up and Begley and Co were able to cash in before anybody found out what was going on so we can all be very happy for Begley and Kearny etc. Oh and don't forget Mr. Ball got over $12,400,000 in 2011. I sleep so much better not having to worry about them.

This is what the Begley & crews greed has led to....

http://www2.turnto10.com/lifestyles/2012/apr/19/vitamin-k-short-supply-ar-1005979/

Just an excerpt from the article.....

An online bulletin from the American Society of Health System Pharmacists stated, "Hospira has vitamin K injection on shortage due to manufacturing delays" and that the only other manufacturer, Amphastar, also has a shortage due to increased demand.

"I love my mom. I love her companionship. I love her friendship. We're going to lose more people this way if we don't speak out and we do something about this shortage of not just vitamin K but many other medications, more people are going to die," Gonzalez-Sanchez said.

Hospira has one big quality problem...ITSELF!

Incompetent management has put this company into a tail-spin, and I...and most of the analysts..don't see it recovering very soon, or at all.

Ball continues the smoke and mirrors and tries to bolster the stock price, but it's only for show and to line his pockets.

It's time for the rats to leave the sinking ship and let the captains go down with it...along with their unearned golden parachutes.

Don't worry HSP will get theirs if the FDA is reading the boards. HSP Clayton should be shutdown for knowingly letting metal embedded in vials go out to the marketplace

Everyone in Clayton is trying to get out before Jamie drops the next hammer. Even his Novartis buddies he brought in are nervous. This may be the worst leadership group in history. I don't know how this group sleeps at night they have treated their employees like crap and should be ashamed to ruin other peoples lives.

You mean I'am talking to people on here ? I thought they were Sheep! Either led to the pasture OR the slaughter house ! Be the WOLF, not the SHEEP ! You CANT be the wolf, unless you are STILL EMPLOYED AT HSP documenting non compliance on GMP side AND EEOC side If you are no longer at HSP your chance is GONE for good, and your posts DO nothing to solve current problems at HSP
