More resignations

Big week so far for resignations on the salesforce. This time we have 2 of our best TMs. Both of them field sales trainers (2 of our 6) and reps that have made plan for some 8-10 quarters in a row. Both big losses on their own. When you see guys like this leave who have put their heart and soul into this job, that is as telling as it gets.

Literally everyone is interviewing. Many I talk with are expecting offers in the next week or two. Good luck everyone and stay networking. We can all help each other.

We did lose very talented and dedicated EC reps that said enough is enough. The sadest thing of it all is this won't even make EC flinch about what's going on out there and how reps incomes have suffered since scopes launched. Instead they will hire someone new, offer them more money than the rep that built the territory to what it is today and sell them the bulls@@t that scopes are flying off the shelves, physician demand is through the roof and they will make $800K a year!
It's a shame!!

Nope. This time and it this stage of the company it's different. Adequate funding is now increasingly becoming the problem. VCs aren't throwing good money after bad for additional rounds. Look at the tea leaves. What's going on in finance will tell you all you need to know.

The beginning of the end started in early August. You'll now start to see executives with (their worthless) "equity" leave. There's a few good people scattered amongst the very ugly ones. But you know what? It's business. You have to execute. Sales has not executed at all and has had colossal mistakes in terms of tactics, strategy, hiring, and leadership. Remarkably, Germany and Nashville have actually done a damn fine job considering such unfathomable time lines and expectations.

Things have and will continue to get ugly and the fire sale is within 12 months out. Mark my words.

Leave? Ok!!! I will!!! Adios mother-f---ers!!!! And there are probably 12-15 right behind me in the next couple weeks. Enjoy the weekend!!!!

I'll believe it when I see it. You're gonna be like Frank the Tank in Old School when you go streaking and expect everyone to follow. "We're gonna to go the quad and then the gymnasium!" "We're going streaking!"

Um...well...there were 4 people (of our 40 TMs) that left just this week alone. That would be 10% of the salesforce. 2 of the 4 were very tenured sales trainers. That sounds like a pretty strong following to me.

I haven't seen Old School, but I think I get what you're trying to say. Maybe this one from my era says it a little better:

Yes, your departure is quite devastating and resonates throughout our organization. I am though impressed with your written skills and sophistication. Would you consider a counter offer?

If your decision is firm, good luck in your new endeavors though..Keep us posted as you reach the promised land. Take care and adios.

What is the huge surprise in all of this? Nobody is making any money, the sales management team is a bunch of assholes, and half of the salespeople that management hired aren't worthy of selling aluminum siding door to door. How bad is it when one of your TM resigns and leaves to open a bicycle rigshaw service instead of staying with EndoChoice. That's pretty sad right there.

You think it's shocking? Far from it man. And you haven't even scratched the surface. In the next month you'll have at least 1 if not 2 RMs gone too---especially with management already starting in this week that these last few losses are "good losses". That takes the cake. You've got to be kidding me, right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? Right? That's a pretty big stretch calling those 4 "good losses".

Bingo. The RMs have made some terrible hires. No surprise that these people struggled with selling bite blocks and lube. If they can't sell that, you honestly think that they can sell any capital and close a Fuse deal? Doubtful.

For those of you who are "shocked" by the recent turnover, you think its any different at any other medical device company? People come and go all the time.

Two of them were "very tenured sales trainers"? One of them was with the company less than two years and the other one was just over two years. That's considered "very tenured" here? I understand that the company is young but let's keep this in perspective....

Are you kidding?! Yes turnover is common in medical but nothing like we have at EC! If you truly think about how new EC is as a company and how many new faces a Dr, NM, tech's etc see (or don't see if vacant) that come and go with EC it's a joke. Reps either leave or get fired much more quicker here than anywhere I have ever been a part of. Again, turnover is present in other companies but nothing like this if you consider how few reps and tenured of our company. Actually crazy because this company once talked about culture and CHIE which is so in the past as there is NO culture here!
S A D !!
