My thoughts on Sage...

I was hired when Sage was launching Zulresso. I saw all the red flags from the beginning and pissed as hell that I chose to just ignore them. Years prior, I had severe postpartum to the point where I was hospitalized for a short time. Everyone thought I had gone crazy. I really wanted the job because I wanted to help other women so they wouldn't have to go through what I did. I had taken a significant pay cut and was underwhelmed with my base and benefits. The interview process was very disorganized, amateur, and to be blunt very cheap. The hired managers didn't seem tenured but I felt strongly about pursuing the job. During the interview, they kept saying "and the great news is we have unlimited vacation here and free lunch at home office." Quite frankly, it was weird. In the end, I found out companies sometimes do this because many have realized that employees then end up using less vacation than if they had an allocated amount. You still needed to get approved for the time off, which wasn't always easy. Everything was just a mess. The leadership, meetings, resources... No one seemed to really know what they were doing. It was a sinking ship from the start. When I heard that there was a good possibility for the MDD indication this go around, I was hoping it would happen. I was contacted by a recruiter and a few other people I knew, but I already was in a job I have been enjoying. I was closely monitoring this go around and my heart goes out to any of you that were affected by this mess. Just a lot of overpromising and under-delivering.

Yeah I launched Zulresso as well. Nothing went well. The Key Account Managers they hired were a joke and we ended up getting all the infusion sites ourselves. It was a totally unnecessary position and they did nothing. The managers were tools. Some went to Biogen in Alzheimer's and well, you know what happened there. C Baumgartner was a joke. Don't know how that tool ever gets jobs as he doesn't work.

Agreed. Leadership plays favorites and pays attention to the bright shiny projects that will get them attention, but provide no positive impact to the business (CIO especially). CIO speaks in buzzwords but accomplishes nothing of value. Sage has gone so downhill.

Plus, they hire washed up managers who think they’re making such a great decision to come over to the MDD space… Meanwhile, they don’t know what they’re talking about. So glad I did not jump onto the sinking ship — the tool who interviewed me was a complete disaster.

LOL this exactly. I wish I got laid of, listening to CTIO drone on and on with his tech bro jargon drives me nuts. When he re-named IT > "DEC"... we all had a good chuckle. Compensating for something? I miss the old Sage.

It sounds like you are bitter you weren’t a KAM and didn’t get tapped to go over to Biogen! Too bad we all see through it
