Miss. I made a big mistake. I’d heard about the issues IS had from the beginning, but I thought “It’s a startup, they’re still figuring it out” also, “it sounds like a different type of competitor” so I came on board. Unfortunately after going to the first meeting since the pandemic, my fears were realized. 1. Archaic Big pharma attitude 2. Total focus on scripts, not patients - NO real world patient stories or actual patients came to talk to us 3. Everyone looks the same, little diversity. None in sales leadership at all 4. Too top heavy organization, too many leaders to reps. Everyone was referencing Texas and how important they are to IS. I heard those poor guys have 8 reps to 1 manager - micromanaging anyone? 5. Old guys running this thing from old school pharma days. No young people with fresh ideas. Don’t think IS will make it if they don’t quickly adjust to this new post-Covid era.
The only thing that seems to be keeping this company going are the reps. Which is surprising because they don’t pay the best. The reps who get this disease are the heart of the company. I kind of feel sorry for them. And now me. Why didn’t I take the other job offer?
