NeurogesX

Well, it's early yet, but they'll have to have reimbursement (for both the product & the time in the doc's office), or they're dead. Since the majority of patients who get shingles are over 50 yrs old, Medicare reimbursement will be key for success!

Yes, drug approved in Nov '09, but they are currently hiring their sales force in preparation for Qutenza's launch. Anyone interviewed yet?

Hi, There are no openings posted on their website currently. Are they going through a specific recruiter? Would you mind sharing information about the recruiter? Any help would be so appreciated! Thank you in advance

Yes, 65, smarta**, but the majority of shingles patients are medicare. Commerical payers usually follow what Medicare does, so if you have Medicare coverage, the commercial payers are more likely to follow. Yes, commercial coverage will be important as well for those who are not on Medicare, the 50-65, duh!

No listings on the website. Where are the openings? This company may have similar issues to Savient and GTX --Qutenza was approved in November and their act is not together!

You need to speak with recruiter Mary Alvarez with Belardi and Associates. I have a face to face this upcoming week. Search for her on cafepharma - her email is posted

This is going to be a difficult ride. The VP does not have a clue on reimbursement, he hired only one RBD who has experience. VP hired who he knows not a team based on what they know. I took a slight paycut on base, however they will work with you. Stock options& med benefits are good. (this is a wait and see what happens after launch. then check back in , if you catch my drift)

Interviewed with this company, and I was really shocked at how few details were ironed out. VP and Regional Mgr seemed intelligent and motivated, but I am not sure what to say about a company that has had a product approved for 3 months, plans to launch in a few weeks, and is yet to determine a price for their product. They said probably somewhere around $650, but no real answer. I couldn't get any details regarding ops and marketing budgets either. Same thing when I mentioned bonus / commission structure and car allowance. I am sure that I came across as brash and intimidating, but these were all important questions. I was told that the Regional was starting over, and she was looking for new candidates. Company still has the "new company smell" to it, and expect some hiccops early, but VP and Regional I met with seemed like they were pretty sharp. I wish them the best.

I don't think the problem is with marketing budgets. Asking about $$ doesn't come across brash or intimidating. I believe these are questions you probally should ask when they make you an offer. I do agree this company has a few issues.Upper management has not done their homework on how to launch this product and the field sales pays the price.

I have heard 3 different salary ranges for neurogesx. Also, is the car allowance variable? What about bonus payout?

Does anyone have answers to these questions? Is there something wrong with this company?

The new VP of sales has been with 5 companies in less than 3 years.. I could not find where he kept his leadership tittle with the same company for more than a year. Always research a new start up company before you join. This is a big risk!

Desperate to fill the open spots. Trying to reach a deadline of March 1st hire date. No company car, mileage reimbursement (I live almost 2 hours from my territory) $$ toward vehicle purchase.
