they were probably referring to the data and reports we get much it based upon the vaunted "projection methodology". Some of it was projected on non reporting local chains that they didn't even know existed.

Really? I don't think so. I am in IT - I would say 80% had no clue about the layoffs or what MC's WebBI post about them actually meant. Unless you work in acct mgmt (where you generally find out abou these things the day of) or are and ED the general population does not have a clue.
