New hire














Not sure if this is accurate info about hiring managers then reps - I received a call 2 weeks ago from recruiter about rep jobs. There seems to be a recruiter handling reps, which is odd because as a manager, I would want to hire my own team.
Not interested in this position and I know several people who have received same call from same recruiter. They must have rosters of current onc reps that they are calling first.

medivation probably has a better hr dept and culture than dendreon. dendreon hired rosen with a harrassment suit and his lies about herceptin launch experience at genentech. look how that hire turned out.
 








Recruiters are only doing pre-screening. DMs or whatever they are calling them will interview and hire. Most of the hold up is because managers have not been hired. Do know that two have been hired from Novartis, one in KC area and the other in Chartlotte. Both are due to start in late April. Heard that hiring should be complete by June.
 








I hear that they are favoring folks from Genetech. A few people with deep prostate cancer experienced applied through internal contacts there and still no call backs. I think that they are nearly done with the hiring for sales reps. What are they going to be doing until MDV3100 gets approved?????
 




typical stay inside the lines mentality, same mistakes as Dendreon and Seattle Genetics. Hire what they believe is the safest picks from big established companies with oncology background and watch them absolutely flounder in a real sales environment. I predict underwhelming sales.
